Considering a re-sleeve in the new year

I thought that with the sleeve the surgeon removes between 65-85% of your stomach... so how can a person be "re-sleeved" when there's hardly any stomach left to be removed? I'm just curious as I've never heard of this.

Concern about WLS and my fat cat!

I have a schnauzer too!!! He is my EVERYTHING! earlier when I was in my gym and doing wide grip pull downs, he HAD to be on the bench with me and even had to be so close that he was touching me. I can't live without him and he can't live without me. I adore my Tucker!

    Stomach pain ALL Day

"Blackish water" could be blood in your vomit. It's called "coffee ground emesis". I'd definitely go see medical help.

How did you deal with hair loss?

I went thru a big hair loss a few months back because the steroids I was on for my syndrome. Now I have a buttload of sticky-outy hairs all over my head from regrowth. It looks really goofy. I used to have super thick thick hair but am now average. I guess I'll be looking forward to more large amounts of hair loss here shortly. In about 6 weeks.... I've had short hair many times before so most likely that'll be the route I take.
  10. So completely and utterly...... NORMAL! it'll get better - honest.
  11. I went skydiving once. And broke my ankle. I have the worst luck! Seriously! I was thinking for a treat to myself learn how to swim. Like really swim. Like put my face under Water without plugging my nose and not thinking I'm gonna die. I almost drown when I was a kid. See? Worst. Luck. Ever. Hahaha Or maybe I'll learn how to ballroom dance or hip hop! Or twerk. Maybe twerk. Yeah twerk, that's it!! And ride a wrecking ball all naked and sh*t.
  12. I'm sold!Gonna try to get one in on Saturday. A birthday present from me to me. (Yesterday I turned the BIG HUGE SCARY 4-0!!!!!)
  13. So the OP appears to be MIA.... either the surgeon told her to take a hike or she told him to! She hasn't been back to let us know what the surgeon said so I wonder if it was the surgeon who told her off!

    Little balls under skin

They most likely won't go away :/ If any of them are causing you discomfort you can get them removed. It is considered cosmetic though. If any of them concern you, have grown in size, hurt, or change shapes - definitely get it checked out. Years ago when I had lost a lot of weight (one of many times) - I found a "lump" in my breast and ended up getting an urgent mammogram. It was just a fatty lump, I felt kinda dumb but better be save than sorry!.

    Gallbladder problems after VSG

Greeeeeeeaaaat With my shitty luck I'm gonna need a cholecystectomy!
  22. So? How'd your doc appoint go?
  23. I can only imagine how that went down........two Iron wills colliding.......forgedtits and the doctor (I'm seeing Arnold Swartzenaeger in this role for some reason....) "I want a sammich dambit !!!" "NO...just Soup for you". "It's not fair......I should have cupcakes". "No......Protein Powda only......now, get to the choppa". "I want oodles of noodles and bread bowls" "STOP with your whining" I almost feel sorry for the surgeons.......I mean, they have the ability to change lives in a way that patients can only dream of......yet their results are held hostage by those that want to fight them every step of the way. I simply don't understand how people make it to the surgery and have so damn little understanding of basic calories and nutrition. This stuff is taught in elementary schools. Hell, I grew up in the boonies.....where the teachers main challenge was keeping us from breeding our cousins.....yet somehow.....someway....they taught us the basic concepts of how to eat. Sure....many, like me, turn their back on that knowledge and develop weight problems as adults. Thankfully I stayed off my cousin, though. There is normally so much education that goes into a bariatric program that you'd expect good comprehension of the surgery and the demands that follow. Add to the fact that she's lived through this with her husbands wls.....although a different procedure. OP is right. It's not fair. It's not fair to the surgeon. That poor surgeon will never get the time back that she's going to spend arguing with the OP in this visit. OP already knows everything and won't be satisfied until the surgeon yields and admits that cupcakes, Cookies and pizza are in fact, great foods that will yield to a slim, trim and sexy new you. Poor surgeon. She could be spending that time with patients that actually are receptive and willing to listen and follow. Omg I laughed so hard! I even spoke in Arnolds voice. And the cousin thing... bahahaha Haha -- good for you for your self control for staying off your cousin! Also great response too!! You always do!
  24. I find it very hard to believe that you'd did "plenty of research," when in your OP you were shocked at not being allowed bread or Pasta for 6 months, because you "haven't seen that anywhere!" Every plan I've seen includes restrictions on these types of carbs for 6 months or longer. Every book I've read stresses that this type of food is off limits for a very long time if you want to be successful in the long term. This information is EVERYWHERE. Maybe you only absorbed what you wanted to hear (similar to how you are taking the responses to your post, which were actually been pretty nice, honest and helpful until you got your panties in a wad). If you expect to be able to eat whatever you want post-op, then you can expect to have similar results to what you had pre-op after the honeymoon phase is over. ~*~ Find me on YouTube: Trisha's Sleeve Story ~*~ NAILED it!!!!
