I had surgery Thursday and am still in the hospital. Was feeling pretty good but than all of sudden i was lite headed and weak. Hopefully tomorrow I can go home. Finally passing gas but no BM yet. Been taking miralax each night so keep your fingers crossed.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while but yesterday wasn't a good day.day.Between gas pain and stomach spasms I want up to much of nothing. Still have gas pain but the spasms have go. Dr said sipping too fast will cause spasms. So sip slowly.

Had surgery yesterday at 1pm. Slept good. I still have gas in both shoulders and neck. Walk abt 5 min this morning. Been sipping a lot of water. No protein of any kind yet. Got catheter out this morning also. Left hand still numb in placed and liquid pain meds are horrible.

Its about 1120 pm and surgery was at 1pm. Just woke up from a nap. While in recovery i had horrible gas pain from one shoulder to the other. My left hand has been numb and tingly since surgery. Not up walking g yet. I'm thirsty so I've been sipping water. I got a popsicle but it had 11 grams of sugar. I was afraid it would make me sick so i passed. Hows everyone else?

I just got to the hospital. Getting nervous and I'm starving and thirsting. I will post when I can. Good luck everyone else.

I drank the stuff 3.5 hrs ago and so far nothing. How long until it works? @@60&goin4it

1pm tomorrow. Today I'm at work which is helping the time go faster. However, I just got done dealing with an angry parole agent in which I slammed the phone down,after he said bye. Happy day. Good luck to all of you!

Mine is tomorrow! I'm having a lot of stinking thinking such as, what if they can't do it because my liver didn't shrink enough! That's the worst today. Hope I can get my work done today. I'm supposed to drink this stuff at 4pm. What would happen if I drink it at noon? I can't have anything to eat today other than clear liquid. .

I am so damn mad at myself for telling my sister about my surgery on Thursday. Her response was "you are, you can lose it".Mind you, she is 120 and I'm 233. She then told me insurance wouldn't covet it. I told her I've been working on this for a yr and if I could lose it, I would have. She then told me how I'd have to be on vitamins for the rest of my life. I just thought of something during my rant. She and I are twins and she's always been referred to as the skinny one. Ha, look out bitch because now it's my turn. Sorry for cussing and complaining, but damn it, where is the support. It's not a compitition (sp)to see who wins. SMH

I got that from my coworkers and in the beginning they all said they'd support me. One coworker even tempted me with chocolate. I asked her if I was an alcoholic would she tempt me with booze. Same concept in my book. Another coworker told me since I'm losing weight for surgery why spend all that money when "you can do it on your own" my thought was, hello dumbass, if I could do it on my own,why am I not doing it already. SMH. I have yet to tell my dad or my twin sister who by the way if half my size or smaller. Some days I can't win to lose. Some people are just dumb. Keep your head up.

I got the Bariatric advantage strawberry meal replacement shakes. They remind me of strawberry wafer cookies.

Good for you. My surgery is Thursday and today I'm craving thin crust pepperoni and jalapeño pizza from dominoes. Smh. I've drank more today then I have in my life and I've eaten sugar free popcicles. Please tell me it will get easier and better.

So far so good for me today, but it's only 10am so I have all day. I've been drinking fluids every 15 mins or so plus the popcicles in the freezer. I woke up in the middle of the night and started wondering if I'm doing the right thing. Then I asked myself, if I were to cancel the surgery, would I be able to stop eating and lose the 90 pounds I have to lose,and the answer was no. I know for a fact I'd go right back to eating any and everything. So now I ask myself if I'm ready for a new me and I say yes I am!!Now I don't struggle quit so much with Turning 50 in Dec.!! Good luck to those struggling and to those having surgery today. We got this!!

I don't think they'll cancel it. I'm guessing you'll have some sort of an antibiotic before or afterwards. Good luck

I feel like I am at a stand still and I'm hoping I haven't messed things up for me. I say go big or go home. We got this!!

I bought suger free popcicles tonight to help me get thru rest of week. I'll do 3 shakes a day with fluids and popcicles in between. 1pm Thursday can't come quick enough.

My day is also Oct 15 and I'm way nervous. Not only for surgery,but because I ate the wrong kind of food today. I ate too much but not as much as I could have. So for the next 3 days it can only be 3 shakes a day.
