Haven't been on here for a while been reading but as nuts as it sounds haven't had the energy after work to comment on anything. Ive had my 3rd fill almost 2 weeks ago and seeing the doc on friday again for another one. But the way Ive been feeling I think Im over filled. The second fill I had there were a few stuck moments I actually thought it was funny as it was an experience even talked to the lump on my side thats the port, rubbed it like I use to when I was pregnant and told it I will take extra care not to put it ( the band ) threw so much stress. So is there something in the fill that they aren't telling us? Its the time of year so I didn't eat proper food ....ate junk as this seemed easier to go down without getting stuck .... i didn't loose anything but didn't gain. I did feel hungry at times and told the Dr so he said time for another fill. This time its worse. I throw up daily just can't get healthy food down without it getting stuck no matter how much i chew, yet chocolate and bad snack foods like burger rings type things there is no problem. When I am hungry i can't hold the food down so i snack the bad things just to get some energy, even soup is an issue, won't be loosing anything again this week. I am 20 pounds from my goal weight. Worse thing is i am beginning to feel more tired and weaker. I am getting asked if Im not well because i look it. I thought i would get over this but every day has been the same especially late afternoons. Hopefully the Dr will agree that the reason is too much fill and take some out. I just want to eat my favourite meal of grilled salmon and salad just one day without rushing after the second bite to bring it up again. Last week I tried sushimi at a shopping centre, never had any problem since till this 3rd fill but this time it could have been so embarrassing, I barely made it to the bathroom. I don't even heave it just comes out like its natural. Would love to hear some comments.

Thanks go walking I intend too tomorrow morning. Though just before leaving picked 2 small strawberries from my garden at work. Couldn't keep them down nor the water that i sipped on the way home kept feeling like it got stuck and had to bring it up again. Then I get home an hour later I am starving because i would not eat any trash so i starved. I was able to get down a 1/4 cup tuna and a 1/4 piece avocado and shock me I kept it down!! Not going to let it fool me though still going to get some fill out!

Can't swallow my saliva
Victoria Mora replied to Princess Peaches's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
That sounds just me today, ate 2 small strawberries and couldn't swallow water 20 minutes later kept bringing it up. Definitely seeing the doctor in the morning to get some fill out! -
Seriously there should be some education pre op on eating after the band!! I am always in a hurry when eating and it take all my self control to slow down. Problem is I forget after the first bite. Had my second fill total 4.5 ml now and have had quite a few stuck moments with vomiting. It become so annoying that I can't even be bothered eating lately. Breakfast for me is a forget it, coffee is just enough. Lunch time isn't to bad I can eat and when i feel the first bit of pressure i stop, but the evening is where the problem is. I can't seem to be able to get to my third bite without it getting stuck and having to run the the bathroom. Its funny cause the evening was my problem pre band it was when Id make up 2 days of eating in 30 minutes, resulting to adding more and more pounds. Now its the opposite. And yes I chew chew chew but maybe not enough.

So had my first fill today 2.5 cc, it wasn't as bad as I let myself stress about. As i had written in another post I am needle phobic. Last friday I saw my dietician she told me that the first day of the fill to be only fluids the second day on soft and normal from 3rd day. My surgeon tells me after the fill I can go on normal straight away. A bit confusing. So i had decided to go with the dietician. This morning I actually had breakfast, 2 egg cheese omelette and a toast with honey yep a bit too much but all went well. The last couple of days I had been quite hungry so the fill was perfect timing. Ok so after an hour of the fill I start to feel hungry but i had so much to do that I didn't have time to eat. So about 4 hours later I'm finally home and make myself a cup of tomato soup. 30 minutes later I am hungry again, the type of " Ill eat just bout anything" hunger. So I eat pizza " 3 slices!!!" it actually shocked me that i felt no restriction. Ive been working long hours so it must have caught up to me I fell asleep for 3 hours!. When i woke up i felt a burst of energy so I went for a 30 minute walk, would have gone longer but it was getting dark. For the family I made buttermilk Panko crumbed chicken and chicken and vegetable soup. Yep had a lot of chicken drumsticks. So then feeling hungry I had 1/2 cp of the soup was going to stop eating but couldn't resist had to have the crumbed chicken it wasn't fried but baked in the oven so it wouldn't have been to high in calories. I ate a small slice of potato all was good, I Took a bite of the drumstick still good then the second bite and i sware i thought i saw stars. I have officially experienced a real "stuck moment". The pain was so excruciating, I walked up and down my kitchen to walk it of, my kitchen is quite big 8X4 mt, that didn't help so i sipped some hot Water still it wouldn't settle. Then I felt the food rising up and rushed to the bathroom. Just made it. Felt much better and sipped on a hot drink. The whole experience wasn't too long about 20 minutes but it felt like hours. Well Ive learnt my lesson this time Ill never underestimate the band, its so tricky!! Thought Ill share my experience of my first stuck moment, always tried to imagine what it would be like, I've had a couple of other what i thought were stuck moments with chicken and steak as well but they did not compare with this one. It was a beauty! Have to admit it didn't turn me off the band or give me any regret feelings that i had it done, if anything I feel each new experience is a learning as well as exciting experience. I am booked for Friday for another .5 ml of filling as my surgeon isn't there the only day I can make the appointment he is forwarding me on to his partner. Im ok with that, but now realised I am doing a function that day so Ill have to cancel. The next available appointment would be 3 weeks from now as the doctor is there only once every 2 weeks. I hope this restriction continues till then. Still at 14 kilos loss another 16 to go!!!

Lots of vitamins C. I haven't had a cold in ages but when i did I use to grate some fresh ginger, cut up a whole lemon some honey a few spindles of chilli and biol it then sip it as hot as i could. the next day the cold would almost be gone. But i would be drinking this several times a day for one day. -
Thanks Kathy. Now Im looking at getting into another surgery. At work one of my assistants complimented that now she can see how much weight I have lost with the tighter clothes i was wearing, my other assistant commented yes its very visible and that now I am all (b##bs) - top heavy- arhhgg never did like the above D cups. Well that did it I called my insurance and asked if I would be covered for a reduction, they said Id be covered if its a medical condition so I said is back ache due to top heavy a good reason and she said yep to go for it.

Hi, Here I go again asking ignorant questions but Ive been thinking about this for 2 weeks now. My Doctor told me on my first review that he will see me in months time for my first filler. It will now be in 2 weeks and i can't help freaking out. I HATE needles!! yep Im a chicken, lol i can put up with child birth but when it comes to needles I freak. Can anyone describe to me the feeling to expect. Do i tell the doctor how much to put in or does he decide. How much in enough and how much would be too much or not enough? Will I faint? or will it be like "Oh is that all it was" The way Im stressing is that I will rather starve myself to avoid getting a filler. Would I be the only baby worried about this or has someone else felt the same?

I make my eggplan I make mine using the same recipe only i don't fry it I bake my eggplant slices in the oven and only drizzle olive oil over them. Less messy and less fat than frying them. I find eggplant takes in too much oil when its fried and gives me heartburn.

I have tried Quorn yesterday made in a schnitzel tasted like chicken. It was delicious and has a lot of protein says it has more protein than meat. Its some sort of fungi like mushroom. Only had it once and still researching if its a good thing. So far Ive been reading good things about it. Im not a vegetarian the more protein than meat caught my eye.

Somebody in the kitchen across from my office is cooking toast!
Victoria Mora replied to KindaFamiliar's topic in Rants & Raves
Most definitely not. lmao do i get the assumption that americans don't like our food staple Vegemite? Im married to a hoosier ( he calls himself that he is from indiana) He so wanted to be an aussie and i told him once he can handle vegemite he will be more aussie. So he tells me he tried it and can't handle it. Another day and he is determined to try it, so he gets his toast spreads butter on it then slaps on vegemite and takes a bite. When i saw how much he slapped on my mouth went all like I've just bitten into a lemon. So i said to him no wonder you can't stomach it. So i made it for him. You only spread it lightly on the bread. He has since been addicted and eats it with tomato, with cheese and any way that he can. Yep he has qualified as an Auserican. -

I so craved fish, I can live on it so pre op 2.5 weeks I had fresh pan fried medium rare salmon cutlet the size of my palm, i had to finish it just couldn't stop and i thought I was going to pay the price later but nothing happened I love salmon sushimi had that the next day, again i thought I was going to suffer but nothing I was ok Funny how I could eat all that salmon with no problem yet anything else less than a cup full and i can't get in another bite.
