Victoria Mora replied to transporter85's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
It is, made Raw pad thai with zoodles today!! yum, went great with rare roast beef. Red capsicum is like Red peppers, the ones that are bigger and thick fleshed I think. Very high in vitamin C -
Thankyou for your replies, Im feeling better now!! Doesn't sound as bad.

Ive always found Stocky men attractive. Skinny men ( bag of bones i use to call them ) just don't do it for me, never have even when I was slim pre children.

Yummy recipes for eating protein anyone want to share
Victoria Mora replied to transporter85's topic in Gastric Plication Surgery Forum
Ive discovered Zoodles!! made them yesterday and today. I added baby tomatoes, garlic, red capsicum, fresh chilly, shredded kale. Sauteed them till they were warm but less than half cooked, then stirred through some fresh baby spinach and japanese tofu. Yum! Not sure if thats enough Protein but definitely no carbs and so filling. Like your chicken recipe will try that as well. -

Victoria Mora replied to NikkiDoc's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
LMAO OKCPirate, sorry i know it wouldn't be funny for you but your comment was. I don't fly out much but when i do i get pulled to the side for a run over with those gadgets. Then a thank you you can go. But I feel for you cause i would be so annoyed if that happened to me. -

Hunger Pains One Week After Surgery
Victoria Mora replied to Jenni Noona's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Jenni, Yes I have as well and its not in your head they are real and I know how hard it is for you. I started eating solids 10 days after and i think that was a mistake feeling a pain in the centre of my chest but its not unabareable and I'm worried I may have done something to my band, so I think Ill return to fluids and mush for a while and hope all is ok. There is a reason that we have to resist ourselves I believe now. I drank cuppa Soups tomato, cream of chicken etc... also fresh fruit juices that seemed to help me a bit. with the hunger pains Also sugar free sweets After surgery I couldn't handle the Protein drinks at all, the thought of them made me gag. Hope all goes well for you and you can get through this. -
seeing the port
Victoria Mora replied to Victoria Mora's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went to see my surgeon for the 1st review today. I asked him about the lump so visible due to the port. He said I am still swollen and once the swelling goes down so will my port. I lost 10.8 which is about 24 pounds since pre op. He is happy and so am I , Very happy!!. I did tell him I had started solids and he was worried with that saying it could be to soon but to be careful. He said he didn't ant me to worry though and that the band isn't my enemy but something to help me get to my healthiest self. I have already felt its benefits, It been over a week now that I haven't had any knee and thigh pain. I returned to woe and my co workers asked me what I have had done while away, they said the change in my looks was so obvious and that I looked 10 years younger!! What a compliment! ATM my band is my best friend it has helped me get healthier and feel good about myself bought up my self esteem. I am so glad I didn't listen to me fears pre op and went ahead and got it done. So far its one of the best things I have done for myself. -
Hi everyone, I could feel my port the day after surgery. Now 13 days latter i can see a huge lump the size of a large golf ball. Is this normal for some ?

What was your weight pre op and what is it now?
Victoria Mora replied to lakenyagreen2986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks pink dahlia, I am so impatient!! I know your right. -
Hi Everyone, I had my band put in on the 29th September. I really had hardly any idea what I was doing. I went to my doctor told him I was sick of my yoyo diet and he recommended the "LapBand" Even with my surgeon who has been rated one of the best, I could not think of any questions and actually thought. Yes the "LapBand" I will have a small appetite. Was I in for shock at all that comes with it and the work that needs to be done to maintain this little piece of equipment that I have adopted. Its really hard work!!! I so admire all the of you during your courageous journey to health. My next review appointment is next week so that will be 2 weeks and 1 day since my OP. Seems like its been months!! Its sites like this that have given me so much more information and help than all the medical team that comes with the "LapBand" Thats the surgeon, dietician, anaesthesia (sorry can't spell that one) and the heart and sleep specialist etc. Just like to say Hi. And go on to reading more through all the posts and joining in as well asking questions.

Wow Gowalking you look amazing!! I am so impatient!! I hope I get there as well and my band does me justice. Ive always been a yoyo dieter, loosing 20 pounds and putting on 40. The band is my only hope I need to loose 44 pounds but would love to loose 50

What was your weight pre op and what is it now?
Victoria Mora replied to lakenyagreen2986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
height 170cm I was 220 2 weeks before surgery 202 day of surgery 13 days later 194. This can't be right I use to loose faster than this in 1 month without the band and I know Im not eating much at all in fact Im more on liquid than anything else. Anyone have any idea why the weight isn't dropping? -
I can feel what you re going through. Being in the restaurant business my ex always had an excuse to get drunk with the customers. It was hell trying to work the restaurant and staying away from him when he was drunk, as he could turn from a happy drunk to a nasty vicious one. Ive had similar things happen physically as you hve. After our 3rd daughter it became hard for me to work there as often so i was at home. He would come home every night drunk and basically try to start something. I was smart to keep my mouth shut and play along with him BUT I was smarter on the day I said enough was enough and ended a 20year marriage. Some would say you have kids keep trying to make it work, and yes i did love him, but then I looked at my 3 daughters and knowing that if I stayed it would only be showing them that that behaviour is acceptable. That final day he had thrown a chair at me, I still didn't say anything but when he hit one of my daughters I saw red and god knows where my strength came from and he is bigger than I was I basically grabbed him and threw him out the door at 4 am. I am very sure he does love you but if he won't help himself you can't do anything else but look after yourself. it gets worse not better in my experience. Get out before the next accident could be fatal.

lmao me too!! that was soooo funny
