My surgeons office said it should take me about 30 mins to get my 3 ounces in. I haven't had surgery yet but maybe don't rush. Maybe you feel overly full because you're trying to sip the 3 ounces too fast?

November Sleevers

It's Unjury chicken soup flavored protein powder. It's really good but beware that when you add any protein to hot liquid (over 140F) that it tends to clump. One solution is to mix the powder with a small amount of warm tap water (should be a thick liquid consistency) and then add that to the hot water. I am buying SF jellos, bouillon cubes, the vitamins the NUT says I will need, and I already have a Yeti rambler cup. Pretty pricey but keeps drinks cold or hot for hours which will be huge for me when I have to sip 64oz, or as close as I can get to 64 oz, of whatever liquid I am drinking. I also purchased a food scale for weighing portions further down the road. Not sure how much a Yeti cup is, but I recently bought a 17oz S'well water bottle for $35. I have a hard time drinking water unless it's ice cold and the S'well water bottle has been helping me drink more water. They come in different sizes and I heard they have started selling them at Starbucks. -

Type 2 diabetes and the sleeve
StartingOver1118 posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Spoke to my endocrinologist and primary dr and both think the sleeve is a good idea and will help me get off my meds. When the doctors office called to schedule my surgery, the scheduler informed me that the sleeve does not help diabetics. A bit confused. Anyone have any thoughts? -

Type 2 diabetes and the sleeve

I know. I have read about all the options. Just felt the sleeve was the less evasive one. I don't feel comfortable with having a foreign object in my body. And the thought of re-routing intestines and all that kinda freaks me out. But I will do more research. Thanks for your comment. -

This makes me happy! I have read about other success stories of getting off meds after surgery, and I'm glad to hear of another one. Thanks for your response! -
