I'm feeling so much better. But I am hungry for real food...tired of mush. -
I'm three weeks today and I want solid food. They said I could do string cheese and deli turkey and chicken. I am not drinking my two protien shakes a day because they are making me nauseous I have to drink so much. What do I do? Also I can mashed potatoes and yogurt, Jello pudding, you know the same as the first week or two. But, they don't have protien and I'm worried I'm not doing it right. And I haven't had a bowel movement for like 6 days but I got a really bad hemorrhoid last week so I've been healing. I started my Vitamins sat to help with fatigue. I haven't lost for a few days. What can I do? Just such it up and drink? Am I eating enough? Am I eating too much? WHAT? Ugh...

I turned the corner!! Today was way better and I even tried string cheese and deli chicken! It went down fine. The doc said the night sweats could be because I'm not brearhing deeply at night cause of my pain but as long as I don't have a fever I'm fine. Things are looking up! -

I am going to my doctor for a follow up tomorrow morning. I've also been so incredibly tired. I try to get all of my liquids and protien in but I want to sleep so much of the time. The pain in my stomach hurts in my chest under my heart when I breathe deeply or burp. I'm very nervous now.. -

The worst thing right now are the night sweats. Is that normal? I've read some people say it's from the anesthesia, but it's almost been a week? -
My surgery was Nov 9th in Omaha, NE. Things have been going fairly well. My pain has skyrocketed in the last 2 days though. I am also sweating profusely everytime I sleep. Is that normal? I'm trying very hard to get my protien and clear liquids in. Popcicles are my friend every time I have to take pain meds. Anyone else experiencing these things? And my tummy is super bruised on my left side. Icing it to try lower the swelling.

I'm in so much pain still. Sometimes getting the pain meds down hurts. I thought I wouldn't be in so much pain. My left side hurts from my chest to my waist. I hope that is normal? -
Back to normal food? And what dose NSV MEAN?

I am hoping that one day I will be able to eat normal food again just in smaller portions. I don't mean fast food but if I go out with my family to a restaurant I can order pasta but only have a small amount? And what does NSV mean? I've seen in on a lot of threads. -
November 2015 sleevers! :)

November 9th. So far recovery is going well except for the Post-op blues. -
Now that I have finally had the gastric sleeve surgery, I'm still in shock that I got it! Like, I can't wrap my head around the fact that my stomach is now really small. I'm doing pretty well by my standards. My left side is bruised so bad it looks like someone painted me purple. Eating has been going really well. I haven't thrown anything up (knock on wood). I'm very sensitive to pain medication because I have chronic migraines, but that actually hasn't been too bad either. I am having the Post-op blues though. Was this pain worth it? Can I really change my diet? When can I just eat solid foods again! And I'm really done with sugar free things! Did anyone else have to be on sugar free popcicles, pudding, and yogurt? We're you ever able to switch back? I sometimes have pain in my chest after I eat and I tend to burn a little and that hurts too. Is that normal? Thank you for any input you might have.

I have been approved by insurance. It has been deemed medically nessary so since it was approved by insurance I should be ok. I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen?
