Any Tijuana Sleevers?
luckyscheisse replied to 2016NewMe's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I used Dr. Corvala as well on 9/29/15. I flew into San Diego on Tuesday morning and a driver came and got me at the airport and I was in surgery by 1pm (after doing a blood draw, ekg and paperwork). I left two days later. I have no regrets. The hospital was clean, the staff was great and I'm losing weight!!! My surgery was $5800. I've been to Mexico so I wasn't nervous. I bought a backpack with yoga pants and a sweatshirt for going home and a bathroom kit. The one thing I would recommend is Chapstick. My lips were dry. Good luck! -
I did this today and it worked out well. Tuna, cottage cheese and potatoes small scoop of each.

I was sleeved on 9/29 and feel the same way. I know I'm eating the right amount, but don't get that stop when you feel full like the NUT said. Still thankful for not getting queasy and haven't vomited.

Sleeved 9/29/15 in Tijuana with Dr. Corvala

Thank you @@butterfly23! The only thing I have noticed in the last two days is that I'm worried I won't lose enough or am nervous I'll gain it all back! Today I started checking and double checking what I'm eating. I realize now that weighing myself daily can be stressful. Still happy I feel great. Hope your plan is going as good. -
Sleeved 9/29/15 in Tijuana with Dr. Corvala

I am 38 and 5'3.5". My process has been super easy and I feel bad for the posts I read with people having issues. Highest weight I saw on the scale was 239 and after surgery I was 224. I'm down to 209. Feel like I hit the famous stall and that's the only negative I can find. Mexico was super good and everyone was attentive. I don't have any regrets so far. Not sure I'm eating totally right, but feel great so not stressing over it. -
September Sleevers How are we doing?

I was against shakes, because mine were horrible in the past. I found chocolate AMP at GNC and it is pretty good. My dad said it tasted like chocolate milk. It's the only way I feel like I'm getting enough protein. -
Dr. Corvala & Hospital Angeles

I did meet Corvala before and after. He spoke perfect English. I had a drain and they took it out the day I left (after two days). Didn't even know, but I over did it a little the other day and it leaked. No pain, just messy. Reapplied bandage and all is good. They did tell me I had a strong pain threshold, but I think most women do ????The hospital was very clean. There are a few nurses that don't speak English (or pretend not too). They do know the word pain. They gave me Meds for a headache. They also found a polyp in my throat while putting tube down for anesthesia and took a picture for me to take back to the states to have removed. I thought that was cool that they didn't ignore it. -

I just had surgery with Dr. Corvala on 9/29/15. I came home after two days, because my case manager said it was enough. I felt it was and happy to be home, but Corvala would like 3 days. I haven't had any issues. Been having chicken broth and jello. I did follow the nutritionist recommendation and spent a lot of money at GNC. The nurses and doctors were great and Paloma was super helpful. The drive with Rafael was easy. The only thing I wish they would have done was weighed me before. I did have them way me after. Also, bring chap stick, my lips were super chapped from the tube. I am glad I went this route. Good luck.
