    Parmesan cheese crisps

Why not make them yourself??? I do, delicious and soooo easy, i'll tell ya how... shred 8 oz of parmesan cheese, or as much as you want to make. preheat your oven to 350. you can use a non-stick mini muffin tray or a regular one just spray it with a light coat of pam or on a baking sheet with parchment paper. Take 1 TBSP of cheese and put it in the muffin cup and press down firmly. Now you can season them if you want with some chili powder, cayenne, black pepper, oregano, basil, garlic, or whatever you like. just sprinkle seasoning on. then bake them until gold in color about 6 to 8 minutes. cool and enjoy

    Women only lol!

that sounds like a "go see your gyn" issue. the way you describe your bleeding as "turned really thick, brighter red in color, huge dark clots" is something a doctor should help you with especially if your periods aren't normally like that. wishing you the best.

    Food Intake

Hi all, i have a question for everyone. i was sleeved on 9/28 and this past Monday was the beginning of my 3rd week and so i started pureed foods. My question is this.. every time i eat i can't tell if i'm full or not. i'm not into weighing so i just eyeball everything. I, so far, have had no issues with any foods either. Everything is going down fine and i'm not feeling queasy at all. Is this normal for some people and once my new tummy heals do you think it'll tell me then when i feel full? Thanks!!

    Regret surgery

@ i'm almost 4 weeks post-op and i'm going to tell you my experience. When i got home from the hospital i was so upset with myself for doing the surgery and taking the easy way out. That feeling lasted for about a week but then i started to realize that this was not the easy way out. This is just a helpful tool to aid you along your weight loss journey. What messes with you most is the mental aspect of the process and i think once you get over that first hump then it gets smoother and smoother. Your brain needs to get on the same page as your body and once that happens you forget all the icky stuff and you remember why you decided to do this. To live a long healthy life and my main reason, to be healthy for my kids so i can go to their graduation and whatever they may need me for. Good luck and please stay positive.

    Food Intake

When i say i eyeball it's because i know what a 1/4 and 1/2 cup looks like on a plate. i also use ramekins which don't hold more than a cup. I know i'm eating properly but what i'm saying is that "full" feeling is gone. Maybe i'm just not expressing myself the right way but i don't know another way to say it. i'm also not saying that overly stuffed i'm going to burst fullness, i mean when you just start to feel full and you know that one more bite will make you "overstuffed".

September Sleevers How are we doing?

I just found this Protein powder which is tasteless and you can add it to almost everything and the best part of it all is that it is 30 grams of protein per 1 tablespoon. maybe this is something that could be good for you to get your protein in. it's called Musclegen Research GENEPRO Protein Powder and i picked it up at amazon.com

September Sleevers How are we doing?

Hey Runner. i had my surgery on 9/28 and i'm STILL trying to figure out if i made the right decision but one thing is for sure, with time it does get better. your body just needs to heal and your brain needs to catch up to your new body limitations. it'll happen just stay as positive as you can. you got this!

September Sleevers How are we doing?

so so true!!! hopefully as most people on this board say, one day we will all look back and be grateful that we did the surgery. i think for us it' just too soon after surgery to be so uppity and happy. it's a huge lifestyle change and we have to get our brains to get caught up to what our bodies are doing now and that is a b**ch. we'll get there, we have to somehow stay positive right now and find some comfort in knowing that we have each other to lean on for support because "only we know the struggles we are going through"

    Gastric Sleeve 9/28/15

Hello to all. i just had the sleeve done and am 5 days post op. i was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a lot of hunger pains. i'm hungry all the time. it's strange cuz i've never felt this type of hunger before. maybe it's just psychological i dunno but it's annoying. does it go away? i'm doing good on the 2nd stage diet of liquids and i'm getting my Protein shakes in too. next week will be my 1st week post op visit so i'm hoping for positive news.

    Gastric Sleeve 9/28/15

how bout if you tried doing food for 1 protein like Breakfast or lunch and have shakes for 2 meals. this way your belly will be able to tolerate it more comfortably. this is what they told me to do when i switch to pureed. then if all goes well in another 2 weeks i go to soft foods and they told me to still get in one shake and try to get the rest of the protein in with food. the thing is now we have to eat ALL day long every hour bite by bite .... what an adjustment.

September Sleevers How are we doing?

Thank goodness you said it because I really thought I was the only one. I regret doing this to my body. I thought of this 2 and a half years before doing it. And now I wish I had never done it I'm 10 days post op I feel like crap I hurt I have major explosive diarrhea I can't sleep for more than 2 hours at a time I can't get in enough water or protein.I can not say enough why oh why did you do this yes I've lost 22 pounds in 10 days but I wish everyday that I didn't do it. Oh and my back is on fire all the time my surgeon says its a phase but I truly don't know. Everyday I wake up and say it will be better today but nope not yet!!! Feeling lost Don't feel lost. i think most feel this way but try not to say it. it's a huge lifestyle change and more than anything we need our brains to catch up to what's going on. Like at dinner time, i feed my sons and i sit down with them thinking, "i could eat what they're eating" then i take 3 sips of Soup and i'm done! i think once our brain re-focuses it'll get a lot easier.

September Sleevers How are we doing?

i'm regretful because i started this journey at age 48 which i know isn't old but it's not young either then add to that the fact that i have a lot of issues with my spine and chronic pain so all that together makes it a bit tough to figure out why i gave myself this extra added headache. i'm sure the regret will go away, i just hope it goes soon!
