Hi all. I'm entering my 6th day of my pre op diet. I was doing great. All of a sudden today, I started getting severe diarrhea. UGH!! I have absolutely no appetite now and am forcing myself to meet my diet. I'm in misery from my esophagus to my rectum. I'm on 2 slim fast shakes , 2 premiere Protein shakes, and 3 ounces of chicken turkey or fish. Did anyone out there have this problem or possible explanations for this. I'm contacting my NUT in the morning to get her take on this. Thanks all for your great posts!

Oh boy!!! Do I hear ya. Congratulations, awesome job! It really does get easier after the second day. I couldn't believe it! (Day 6 here)????

Hi All. My surgery is Nov 12th. I've been on the 14 day pre op diet for 5 days now. The first day and a half were BAD! After that no hunger at all. I can't believe it myself. It's really not bad at all. Starting today the new problem started...severe diarrhea...UGH!!! I'm on 2 slim fast shakes, 2 premier Protein shakes, and 3oz chicken, turkey or fish. 700-800 calls per day. I'm going to email my nut to see what to do about this issue. ????????????

Well, at least they left out secondary addictions out!!! LOL. You've got to love family! So, far, only my husband and youngest daughter know and my surgery is 4 weeks away. God forbid I tell my sister whom I'm extremely close to!! She'd definitely be the one to say all of what your family said and of course the addiction thing. When is your surgery? Best of luck with everything!!
