how long is the Gastric Sleeve surgery ?
jessicamanus23 replied to boosh10's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was only 40 mins -
I have surgery tomorrow!!!! I am starting to get nervous especially hearing all these stories about how the doctor didn't do the procedure due to the liver wasn't shrunk enough. Ive been following the liquid diet for the most part but have cheated a few times and now im starting to get worried that my liver hasn't shrunk enough. Ive already paid them and everything for the surgery and my insurance approved it and I wouldn't think that the doctor wouldn't do the procedure especially after its already been paid on my end. Ive had ice cream a few times, mac and chese ONCE only 4oz, a slice of homemade pizza and some little smokies but nothing major just some nipples. Will this effect me at all? Ive done mainly liquids the whole 2 weeks. I struggled in the beginning like most people.

Thank You Sleevy Wonder that gives me a little peace of mind. I lost 4 pounds in just 2 days of my liquid diet so I cant wait to see what I weigh tomorrow just being now 2 weeks on mostly liquids. Thank You Inner Surfer Girl for the support it means a lot

The way it's set up is to qualify for short term I have a physical and everything to go through and I'll already be out on my one year so I won't be able to get short term I can use my PTO but there's a whole week I have to be out where I won't be working at all and I'm gonna use it there so I at least get something -

Hello, I finally got my surgery date and it s Nov 4th at 1:00pm, i start liquids on the Oct. 21st and Pre Op appt on Oct 23rd, I am so excited for this new chapter in my life, its been a long 6 months working up to surgery with the pre op program and all the dr appts.I never thought it was gonna happen but here it is and i couldnt be happier. I have been reading like crazy on here and have heard of some good advice. The liquid diet is gonna be a struggle pre surgery but its all gonna be worth it. The reason im so excited is with the weight loss i can actually start doing more things with my son and feel comfortible doing it, I really just want him to be proud of me and i think with surgery its gonna help that happen because ill be alot happier about myself. Thank You in advance for all the support.
