    anyone been to juarez mexico?

My personal physician will do my 2x yearly blood tests. Other than that nothing. I had a lap band for 2 years and never saw the doctor for anything other than fills. I never utilized the $2000 after care program they made me purchase. Such a waste of money.

    Vitamins, absorbing or not?

My original mutivitamin is just such a horse pill that even 3 weeks post-op I can't imagine choking that thing down and Flinstones and such do not have enough of several things I need.
  3. I had pain for the first 10 days and bloating just as long. Walking definitely helped, but the GasX helped a lot too in the first 5 days. I really had to watch the soup because of the salt content. I retained 7 pounds of Water after the surgery so I mostly sipped water all day and used the isopure powder to get my Protein in.

    Vitamins, absorbing or not?

I've noticed that everything is becoming available in a gummy or chewable form. If they are better absorbed by your body and more of them is used I would like to switch a couple of my others to chewables as well.
  5. I have been on a Multivitamin since I was 12, so a LONG time lol. I started the chewable post-op and have noticed that I no longer have that very yellow and Vitamin smelling first void. So....is my body actually absorbing all of the chewable or is it that I need more? I haven't asked the doctor yet, I thought maybe someone else has experienced this and may have some insight.
  6. I gained 7 pounds after surgery. It took me just over a week to get that 7 pounds off and start losing actual weight. My surgery was on the 10th and I am down 16 pounds (23 if u count the water weight). I agree with everyone else, it will happen ☺

It went great! My husband and I both had surgery. We shared a suite. I was nervous about everything but it was all seamless. If you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer them.

    Coffee Addiction ...

I had terrible headaches for two days after my surgery due to caffine withdrawls. Now that I am allowed to have my iced coffees again, I have only had two. I find that I struggle to get my 64 oz of Water in, so for me it's better to just not go there and keep concentrating on water
  10. Headaches!!!! I can relate! I made my own iced coffees before surgery.... Brew a cup, add sugar free syrup, and half and half over ice...yum....but not since the preop diet. I used to have 2-3 of these a day. The caffeine withdrawals just about killed me in the hospital. I'm better now. ????

    Finally

@@sorrynomore , I had to do Clear liquids for a week, I am on full liquids for another week and then I can go to soft foods. I was just able to add the Dannon light and fit yougurt this week. It would have been too heavy for my stomach first week so I am glad I waited. I think its the milk.
  12. It would suck all the moisture out of my tongue and even my lips if it touched them. I hated it. I thought it was just me, but my son tried it and had the same thing happen. They taste gross......on a different note, I bought the alpine punch powder and it was really good.

    Finally

I had such a hard time with the clear proteins. I literally was starving. I made it 6 days. I actually started my full liquids one day early and was 100% better after my first premier protein shake. It took me 4 hours to drink it, but I felt full. Water seems to be the only thing that I am struggling with it goes down very slowly and I am struggling to drink 64 ounces.
  15. This may sound weird, but be taking something in constantly. Drink water, drink a shake, drink water have a jello, drink water have a shake. Once your surgery is done you will literally have to sip ALL day. I am a week and half post op and have yet to be able to get all my water in even though I sip between shakes, jello, and broth. If you get in this habit now it will be easier after surgery, it also makes you feel fuller.
