Kill them with kindness! I'm sure that sounds tough to do when they are getting under your skin but bottom line don't let their crap get the best of you! That's what they want from you. In their eyes, you are now changing, getting healthier, looking leaner and they can't say bad crap about that. Infact, they may have been talking about you long ago and your weight for all you know but not in front of you. They may have been bringing all the high calorie treats just to watch you indulge and so they can take pleasure in this. Sick I know but that's what people do when they want to "UP" themselves but guess what? That's all gone now. They can't watch you eat that ice cream or cake so they got to put you down in front of the world because of it. The only difference now is your reaction because trust me, anyone else in the room I am sure found their comments to be very RUDE besides you. So just smile and pretend like it doesn't eat at you. Watch them drown and trust me in time "without a reaction" from you they are going to get no where but look like idiots to the rest of the folks in the room. Quote; "No reaction means no action". Let them fall alone and let it go!! IGNORE!! Their still jerks but do your best to kill them with kindness! It back fires in such a great way!

Hunger Pains Post-Op -- Could it be?
sleever54 replied to ScubaMary's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ask the same question when I was first sleeve. So I have learn since then: What I thought was hunger was not actual hunger but my stomach making noises from the Water I just drank or whatever it may be. You stomach will start to grumble more now and again "it's not hunger". I thought forsure that my stomach growling but nope it was grumbling. Close to the same but not at all the same. Ignore it as hunger but accept it as the new you. One thing about being sleeve is we have noisy tiny stomachs! Mine is making noises as I type. lol -

You can see that my belly is still very swollen in this pic. Took about 6 weeks or more to finally settle down. -

What’s the ONE thing you wished you knew before getting sleeved ?

To eat slow...I still sometimes eat to fast and get over full and uncomfortable if I'm not careful. -
I would not tell your friends if you can change that. Pretend you are losing weight on your own. Mexico is where I went and I was fine. Better care than I ever expected.

10/8/2015 Surgery Date...lower BMI range 30.3. So excited!

Surgery went great! I felt excellent afterwards. Starting weight on surgery day was 178. Down 10 pounds. I can only take sips of Water and a tad of Protein water. It doesn't sit well if I were to gulp and if I do get too much liquid in my mouth I have to spit it out in another cup. This is something that will take time. I'm still happy I did this. -

My nitritionist said it was OK to eat for a special lunch I had but to make it Atkins meal. Protein and veggies only. It worked and I list pre..op. unless you are 2 days from surgery then you'll need to stick to liiquids. Good luck -
