    Pre-surgery Jitters

How are you doing now that you've had the surgery??

    Uncomfortable running

After my 2 week check up I had no restrictions. Check with your doctor but I'm pretty sure you should be good to run.

    Driving

I was allowed the day after I was sent home as long as I didn't use any of the medication- which I didnt.
  4. I'm sorry you went through this. It is very unfortunate. Not all people have an issue like this but most do have some raspy dry throat issues after surgery.(for those of you that haven't had surgery yet) I hope you heal quickly.

    November 9th and 10th

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mother will be with you everyday for the rest of your life and she will guide you. Hugs from Lancaster Pa
  6. You can do it. My doctor told me without doing it there is no surgery and that's what pushed me through to the end.

You know you lost weight when

I have always had a flat non existent butt.. my daughter says hey mom your getting a butt. Say what!!
  9. I have never been thin. I think the lowest weight I can remember is 199 and that was 8 to 10 yrs ago. I can't wait to see what I look like at 170 or less. My goal is 140 to 150, that may be a little to thin for my liking as I've always been big even as a child. I do notice my shrinking body alot more these days. I'm learning to say thank you to compliments. My 16s are starting to get loose and I'm excited about this. I can wait to get into 14s.
  10. I hope your surgery went well. Recovery is a whole lot easier than I expected. Good luck on your journey.
  11. I still struggle to get all my fluids and I'm 2 months out. I'm lucky to get 45oz a day and that's pushing myself.
  12. I was fortunate. I went back to work 5 days after surgery and was never really tired. I didn't over do it just walking and work. I don't have little ones to chase so that made it easier. Good luck everyone it does get easier.
  13. Just remember it's all worth it in the end. I'm 2 months out from surgery and I regret nothing. I've lost 45lb from my hw of 260 and I'm never going back. Chug along and you'll do great.
  14. Thanks for sharing your story. I must say you look alot smaller than 186 in that picture. I too am 5ft7in. Now I can picture myself at that weight, thanks for that. I started at 260 hw and am now 215 only 2 months out from surgery. I hope to be able to get to onederland before the end of the year. Awesome job.

    New Life

    Awesome job.
  16. Welcome and congrats on making the decision to change your life forever. My daughter and I both have had the sleeve done this year. I got mine on 9/1 and she got hers on 10/20. It was by far the best decision I have ever made. I regret nothing. It's so nice to wake up every day knowing that in the near future I will be at a healthy comfortable weight. I'll be able to look in the mirror and see the person I've always wanted to see. The person that will match my outgoing personality. The sleeve truly does change your life in all different ways. Your attitude changes, your thought process, your outlook on life everything. Good luck on your journey.

    Highmark BCBS

I have highmark bcbs and o know they require a bmi of 40 or better. Also I didn't have any issues with payment. But I also have a 3000 deductible that I had to meet first.
  21. Lmao. I hope you and your ass eventually get along. Lol

Having a period right before surgery?

I had my period when I had my surgery done. You simply wear mesh panties supplied by the hospital and a pad. No big deal. Your doctor isn't going anywhere near your vaginal so don't stress it. Don't put off your surgery.

    Support group help

Seeing successful patients makes others get their butt in gear. I love the support groups. Absolutely do it. Everyone is there for the same reason. Some just need proof that this works. You are that proof. Congrats on all your hard work and success.
