It sounds like you are on a similar regiment as I am. I called my Dr yesterday and I asked the nurse the same question. On week 4 I can hardly get down any food( flaky fish, beans, cooked vegetables, soft pasta) is that normal.? She said yes, eat slow and small bites and stop when you feel full, even if it's 3 bites.

Gerd or gastritis before RNY surgery
Hankster replied to JohaAidenMommy's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I was taken off my 2 GERD medications right after RNY. My Dr.put me on Pepcid for a month. I am 1 week post surgery and am very happy with the decision of RNY. -
Pain after Surgery - What to Expect?
Hankster replied to NewLifeFinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had my surgery Thursday 11/12 . The pain to me was more abdominal muscle pain than gas. I walked a lot after surgery so that may have helped with the gas. The worst is getting up and out of bed, no real way not to use your abdominal muscles. -
Any November surgeries?
Hankster replied to Mildred Cox's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery is Nov. 12 and I have started my 3 day clear liquid diet. Tons of emotions about if this is the right thing to do. I have self doubt in my head but I am also doing everything to get ready for the big day. Just weird feelings!!! -
I have a surgery date 11/2 and appointments for all tests ( cardio, pulmonary, pre op, nutritionist and psych). The insurance company won't make a decision until the reports come back. My concern is my BMI of 39. I have GERD, high blood pressure and a family history of stroke, cancer, heart disease and diabetes. My Bariatiric Dr says I am a good candidate and my internist is all in 100% but will my insurance company feel the same way? Does anyone out there have a similar story?
