About Me
I have always struggled with weight (it's in the genes) but 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and since then I have had 4 pregnancies and my weight has steadily crept up. All up I have gained 30kg over this time. The decision to have surgery has taken 2.5yrs as I felt I owed it to myself to try everything else. Obviously nothing has worked because I am now booked in for surgery. Last year I was involved in a car accident and the trauma and stress has cause more weight gain along with sleep apnea, RLS, depression, inflammation and nerve damage. I have 4 young boys and if I don't do this by the time I am 50 I will be over 120kgs and my symptoms will get worse. This is the last resort for me and I am ready to face the mental and physical changes needed to return my body and mind to a place of harmony.
