Hi!  I am 51 years old with an eleven year old son and I am married to my high school sweetheart. Before I married 13 years ago, I was very healthy and trim.  I spent many hours in the gym and watched what I ate.  I quit smoking 14 years ago and put on 30 pounds.  After getting married and having a child, I gained about 30 more pounds.  I had a hysterectomy two years ago and in an attempt to level off my hormones, I have gained another 30 pounds.  I had a stroke on Christmas Day in 2013. I am now 5'2" and close to 200 lbs.  My sister had a gastric sleeve one year ago and she lost 65 pounds and now weighs 130 and is 5'6".  She is 48 an looks incredible.  I also have a friend that had the same surgery several years ago.  Her highest weight was 218.  She is now in the 130's and she looks fabulous.  I realize that I am not going to immediately lose 65 pounds and that the sleeve is just a tool to help me be successful in reaching my goal weight and keeping the pounds off forever.  I am looking forward to my surgery and I feel 100% positive that in just a few short months, I will be feeling better and will be back to my health self so I can enjoy life with my son and my husband.  God willing...
