I have been reading some posts and see that some of you have been tentatively scheduled by your dr's prior to surgery approval. I have 1 but appt left on Dec. 8th, but everything else has been done. How did you get your dr's office to schedule you before completing the program? I really want to have my surgery before the end of the year because I've met my deductible already this year ????

Hi all - I'm in the North Dallas area and am scheduled to have the sleeve in December. I have chosen not to inform my family other than my husband and kids at home. It would be nice to have a support group of local people that are going through the same thing. Nice to meet you all!

My last nutrition visit is Dec. 8th, so they are scheduling me for the 21st of December. That will give enough time to get the insurance approval back they said. @@Fatty McFatster

I just got a call from our surgery scheduler!!! They are going to schedule me!!!!

I'm definitely going to mention my deductible. I definitely don't want to pay tons more just because I was too nervous too mention it to my dr's office lol

@cj76....I feel like we are very similar. I have put on a lot of weight in the last year and really didn't even realize it was happening until I tried to put on Fall clothes from last season that were "big" on me but now I look like a sausage in casing. My children are all active and very slender and my husband is also athletic. I stick out and feel like I don't look like I belong with them. I am seriously short, 5' and fluctuate between 210-220. It just keeps creeping up.. I should be having surgery in Dec. had my psych evaluation, 2 nut visits, & my EGD is scheduled for Nov 5th. After that, I should be good to go. I love this forum though because it's nice to see others that feel the same way I do. ????

I am still in the pre-op phase of dieting. I am doing what my nutritionist recommended and can't have any weight gain prior to insurance approval. I am really struggling with eating of boredom or "mindless" eating. I have a desk job and used to just snack during the day while at work. I'm stuck at my desk and it's a real struggle to not think about food. I feel hungry, but think it's just mind hunger, if that makes sense. Anyone have any tips on how to get past this?

Good ideas. I really like the rubber band snapping lol I need to clean out emails big time, so looks like that and rubber band will be my go to tomorrow. Today my calorie intake has dropped significantly compared to before and I have a massive headache ????

I am pretty certain mine will be around the same time (or that's what my surgeon said). I have one more visit with the NUT next month and then off to insurance approvals. Getting super excited and nervous too!

Received the email from my surgeons office that my EGD is scheduled for Nov. 5th. Shortly after, I should be done with my 90 day insurance criteria & can be submitted for approval. Time is flying! Hoping to have surgery early Dec ????

I'm with Aetna also. I am doing the 90 day multidisciplinary option. I've had 2 nutritionist visits, psych evaluation, initial assessment with my doctor and am waiting on the day for my EGD. I have 2 nutritionist visits left and my follow up with my doctor after the last nutritionist visit. Dr said I should be able to have surgery by the end of Christmas. Just hoping there are no issues with insurance approval ????
