Yup. It is getting frustrating. But, I am trying to keep it in perspective. Just letting what needs to be done get done

Ok, I am just doing my monthly (or less) check in on here. :smile2: Nothing much going on with me. Still no word on my possible BIG news. Hopefully soon. Had vacation a couple weeks ago down in Orlando. Bought another timeshare down there. First is in AZ. We now have 2. Ok, that's my life. Pretty boring. Can someone do a recap of the past 100 pages or so?

You know, now that you put it that way, I would be pissied as well. I know my competitive side would have kicked in and I would have lost it. Plus, I know me. I tend to bottle things up for awhile. However, when i finally lose it, I BLOW, then I'm back to normal quickly. Add in the adrenaline from working out and I can see where that episode could come from.

No exercise this morning as I worked a double yesterday and only got about 3 hrs of sleep. Mainly due to our GSD deciding midnight would be an excellent time to start hacking up a lung in our bedroom last night.:smile2: If I can keep the caffeine drip going today, I'll hit the gym after work to do upper body and a little cardio. If not, I will go home and sleep about 12 hrs.

Yesterday, I went in the afternoon to the gym after work. Did leg circuit training and 2 mile run. Working 16 today, so no workout. We'll see how I feel tomorrow morning.

Gotta agree with kago, even the Biggest Loser people don't lose that kind of weight and they do nothing but exercise. I, myself, run about 11-13 miles a week, do the elliptical about 30 minutes a day and lift weights. The most I ever lost (besides my 10 day liquid pre op diet where I lost 23 lbs) was about 10 lbs in one month post Lap Band.

Good to hear. As for me, no a.m. workout yesterday. Did upper body circuit training in the p.m. Followed that with 35 minutes on elliptical and 1.5 mile run on treadmill. This morning, I did 2.5 mile/21:50 run on treadmill followed by 10 minute cooldown. Won't get legs tonight. Working 12 hrs today and then have to get DD from in laws. I'll try after work tomorrow.

Haven't seen this yet for March, so here goes. Same rules as always, not so much a challenge as a way to keep us all motivated. I took this weekend off. Needed it badly apparently. This morning I ran 2 miles @ .5% incline in 16:47. Ran another 1/2 mile @.5% incline in 4:47. Followed that with 10 minute cooldown and 20 minutes on elliptical. Tonight will be heavy upper body supersets. Maybe some more cardio, hopefully.

Any need for surgery? Hope not, that would just make things take longer to recover. I don't think it was food poisoning. DW got sick after we got back. No puking, but was laid out feeling nauseated for the weekend. Plus, neice and nephews were throwing up Saturday night and Sunday. I think we just picked something up and I happened to be the first one to succumb. Didn't make it in last night. Felt a little worse as the day went on. Didn't want to chance a leg workout while feeling nauseated.

No, no, I had a problem with it as well. I'm getting tired of the whole slant with WLS. They are trying to make it out that every form is bad for you. Yet, they never mention anything about how many of the past contestants are gaining alot of the weight back. Not going to go back and search, but in regards to the shirts, they have been doing this since season 1. Once the loose skin gets too bad on most of the contestants, they have the women wear the compression tanks and the men don't take off their shirts anymore. IMO, they don't want you to question when they show up for the finale and most don't have alot of skin hanging everywhere. I think they "encourage" them to have PS to look better while at home.

Made it in this morning to try a nice slow 15 min./1.5 mile run. Felt pretty good and made it 2 miles in 20 min. instead. Followed that with 10 min. cooldown and 12 min. on elliptical. Tonight will be leg circuit training and a little more cardio.

Sorry to hear this lulu. I'm sure you'll figure out some way to keep in the gym. As for me, I'M BACK! Vacation was great......until Thursday. Woke up Thursday morning with a bad feeling in my stomach. Knew I was in trouble but tried to just lay there and hope nothing really bad (read: vomiting) happened. Family left to go to Animal Kingdom and then it started. I PUKED for most of the day, couldn't stop. Of course, being in a different city w/o a car I had no way to try to get any anti nausea meds. Had to tough it out and hope for the best. Sucked it up on Friday to fly back home. By then, no puking. But, it had moved more into the intestines. Spent all day Saturday with the intestines. Yesterday, better, but still sick to my stomach. Today, better. Managed one 2.5 mile run on vacation, that's it. Just couldn't covince myself to run in the morning if I was going to be walking the whole day at a theme park and afterwards too tired. Made it in this morning for upper body. Back to circuit training. Also, ran for 1 mile on treadmill. Couldn't stomach any more than that after the past 5 days of sickness. Good to see everyone has been keeping strong.

I'm not going back through the whole thing to find the original post on this topic. Just thought I would share what my mom always told me growing up. She would tell me "I don't care how tall/big you get. You'll never be too big for me to step on a chair to knock you down." I stopped growing taller at 16 @ 6' 3". I graduated hs @ 250. I believed her every time she said it. And she is only 5'6".

Did 3.25 miles today in 28:35. First 2.25 miles @ 1% incline. Last mile @ .5% incline. That gets me to my 10 miles for the week. Tomorrow I'm up @ 0300, which is early even for me, to get to the airport by about 0430. Then, on to vacation:w00t::w00t::ohmy: I'll "see" everyone when I get back. Have a great week of working out everyone.
-
Monday-did 2.25 miles @ 1% incline. Went into the gym in afternoon for upper body circuits. Went BADLY. Felt weak from the get go. I don't know if it is work is just so bad right now that it is effecting me or what, but it was bad. Tuesday-another 2.25 miles @ 1% incline. Got stuck in a meeting and didn't get out in time to lift with legs.:w00t: Today-yet another 2.25 miles but @ .5% incline at a light job today, didn't push it. I'll get in some more running tomorrow. Friday I go on VACATION!!!!!:w00t::w00t::w00t: Going to Orlando for 8 days, can't wait. I'll most likelly get up in the mornings and run outside for the first time since last Oct.
-
Got in another 1.5 miles on the treadmill. Ran the first 1 mile in 7:55 @ .5% incline. Then, dropped down to 6 mph to finish out the half mile in 5 min. @ same incline. Also, followed that with 10 min. cooldown and 15 min. on elliptical.
-
This morning: ran 2.05 miles on treadmill in 19:17. Followed that with 10 minute cooldown. May get in again later, may not.
-
Monday p.m.-got in another 2.25 miles on the treadmill. Last two days I've been off of work and just haven't felt a real desire to get in for cardio. This morning, got up and did 3.1 miles on treadmill. I'll try for another mile or two later today.
-
Working 0600-1400 today, so I only got in a 2 mile run on the treadmill in 20 min. @ 1% incl. and 5 min. cooldown this morning. I have to wait for one of my carpool members to get off work at 1500, so I will go back up and do some more cardio this afternoon while waiting. No lifting this week.:thumbup::crying: I hate it and love it at the same time. Love it because I get to just go home and spend some time with DD before DW gets home. Hate it because I feel as if my "muscles" are getting soft within the week off. And luluc, I would gladly take rain. We are supposed to be getting 3-6" of snow again tomorrow.

No exercise again today. One of DW's coworkers husband is going to school for HVAC. He said he would come over and take a look at our furnace. Ended up on finishing up until almost 10 last night. Then, with DST, I just didn't have the energy. I'll get back to it tomorrow.
-
No exercise for me today. I found out last night about 9 pm that our furnace was not working, won't light. So after several attempts to reset the dang thing, and a couple different codes, I had to call the HVAC company. By this time it was close to 11 pm. Told the guy I had to work today and said it could wait until I get home about 4. Had to turn off the gas to the furnace and go to bed. Luckily, it was only in the mid 20's last night, so not too bad. I'll have him come over, fix the problem and then get up tomorrow morning and run prior to work.

Keep your chin up lulu, you'll get through it. We all go through periods where we just can't find the energy/desire to exercise. It's the extended periods that are the worst. You've been going so great for so long, you are bound to have a down time. Nothing to be ashamed about for 66 lbs in one year. That's great. You throw in a little exercise and you'll make it to goal soon enough. Just keep at it once you get going. Great job madame!:cool2: As for me, I did upper body supersets yesterday. Relearned a lesson I should have remembered. Muscles, especially old muscles (translation: mine:cursing:) cannot go heavy 2 times in one week. I failed on the 5th rep on my first set of 280 on bench. Backed all the weights down immediately to medium level for 10 reps instead. Still felt like shit the whole workout. But, I pushed through, did all the supersets and even managed 15 pushups btwn each superset. Followed that with 35 minutes on elliptical, 10/1 mile run on treadmill and 5 min. cooldown. This morning, I ran 2 miles in 18:14 on treadmill, 10 min. cooldown and have done 50 min. on elliptical. Tonight I will do legs again. P.S.-Milestone alert. I passed the century mark on my goal for 520 miles run this year.:tt2:

Forgot to mention that I didn't really like the 3 digs at WLS they had last night. 1) Dr. tells shar pei dad his fat placement is most likely due to his gastric bypass. Yeah, right. Like someones innards being cut up has anything to do with the placement of his fat. 2) Right after that, SPD is talking to the camera and said he'd had the RNY and had taken "the easy way out" by doing so. And that this way was much better. 3) I think it was Cathy that said she was losing weight w/o dieting, WLS and something else. As if what she was doing is not dieting. Just isn't a fad diet. I'm really getting tired of people assuming that you have the surgery and the lbs. just drop off. I've had to work harder in the gym than ever before. Alot of the people I get along with the best on this website have done the same.

Ask and ye shall recieve. This is the website link they have. http://www.stayhealthymn.com/content/jeff-mitchum.php Now, remember, those were taken last summer. I no longer have the goatee, bad experiment. As for the other news, it may take awhile for that one. I'm in a waiting pattern.
