Legs last night. Another 3.6 miles this morning.
-
Did chest last night. After dinner went for a walk with DW, DD and our GSD. This morning, I went for a 4.1 mile run. If you had told me 1 yr ago that I would run just over 10 miles in 2 days, I would have said you were crazy. But, that is what I did in the last 2 days. Is it ok to curse your boss out for showing you you can run further than you thought possible?:cursing:

You go "girl".

Nothing like starting off the work week with a light 6 mile run. Started off thinking only 3-4 miles and just kept going. Tonight will be chest workout.
-
All depends on how you feel. Me personally, no way I could have made it out to the fields. My midsection was just too sore. I would say do as your body tells you it can do.
-
Ok, SWAT training yesterday, so no run. Bi's and Tri's last night. Ran 3.6 miles this morning. Tonight will be back workout.

I play mens slowpitch softball and have for years. I'm almost 2 yrs post op and have never had any problem. I play mainly 3B. I made sure softball would be no problem after the surgery when I first started considering it.

Did legs last night. After all the running and that, my legs are SORE!!!!!!! Of course, didn't stop me from running again this morning. Another 3.8 miles today. Tonight is Shoulders/Traps before softball.

Seeing my old classmates must have kicked something in gear for me again. I thought people were supposed to get fat as they got older. Most of these people looked GOOD. Now I have to kick it in again. Did my chest and biceps last night. I'm switching it up again. Gonna go for strength for a little while and see what I can do. Ran 4.1 miles this morning. On a definate positive, when I went in for a fill about 1 1/2 mos. ago, I weighed in @ a sad 271. Of course, I had not updated that in my auto sig. After running this morning, I weighed myself for the first time since. Weighed in @ 253. Did not see that coming. I have not exactly been eating a proper diet of late. Glad to see I'm going in the right direction again.:smile2:

Had my HS 20 yr reunion this weekend. No exercise, unless you count golfing on Saturday morning. Which, I don't as we were on carts. Ran 3.7 miles this morning. Tonight is upper body workout and more cardio. Good to have lulu and glouc back.

No run this morning. After the runs of the past 2 days and softball last night, legs were just too tired. Not sure if I will get in my upper body circuits tonight due to a freak injury after our 2nd gm last night. Hyper extended my right elbow when someone tried to give me the shoulder. Went a little too low and hit me right above the elbow which snapped my elbow back. Instant pain. May just take a day off and see if tomorrow will be better.

Waaaaaaay too tired last night for legs. Legs were killing me last night when I was asleep. Wasn't sure I would make a run today. Woke up, hopped out of bed because I overslept by 20 min. and got going. Legs were tired, but ok otherwise. Ran 2.8 miles this morning. Softball tonight.

Just got back from the run with Bossman. Not sure how far we ran, but it was definately further than the last time (different route). I'm going to guestimate it of at least btwn 5.5 and 6 miles at least. I put it down as 5.5 on my autosig until I can measure it out. Don't think legs workout is going to be done tonight, just too burnt out. Edit: Went onto Active.com to the route planner area. Route measured out to just over 5.8 miles. Managed in just about 1 hr. So not bad. Bossman, of course, was toying with me the whole way.

Ok, looks like I'm on my own this month. Last night I got my upper body circuits and 25 minutes on the elliptical in. This morning I just did 25 minutes on the elliptical as I am running with bossman later this morning. Oh, and I forgot to mention yesterday, GREAT JOB Macmadame on the tri.:bored:

Holy Crap! Where is everyone? I thought there would be at least a couple pages on here. Took a couple vac. days as DD was out of school and the Y program wasn't up and running yet. Then, last week I had SWAT school and didn't have time to think let alone log on. Anyway, didn't get much done over the last week as far as being in the gym. But, I got my arse kicked around ALOT by Mpls PD SWAT.:) One of the worst and best weeks EVER! Anyway, I'm back at it as of today. Ran 2 miles to get into the flow of it all. Tonight will be upper body and more cardio. Tomorrow, I'm running with bossman again.

lulu-I am just the opposite. I hate spin class, can't/won't do it anymore. I don't exactly love running, but I'll stick with it. Madame-good luck with your sons thesis!:crying: Hope all goes well. Did legs last night. No energy to do any more cardio. Ran 2 miles on treadmill this morning. No additional workouts today except for softball. But, that isn't exactly working out. That's alot of standing around pretending you're still in your glory days.

Wow, that really is interesting. Talk about being a poor sport. If the allegations had proved true, I'd have been the first to condemn Jillian. But, I'm glad they didn't find anything. And, if Filipe is going to back pedal and deny he made the charges, I really don't like him. At least admit he made a mistake or was being a dum ass

I lost 100 lbs in just over 8 mos after my surgery. I did not have my first fill until my 6 mo. appt. I had a 2nd fill a mo. later even though I did not feel it was needed. I just had my 3rd fill about 5 wks ago. I'm almost 2 yrs out and have lost approx. 130 lbs. I simply used the WLS as a 2nd chance. I decided I did not want the band to do all the work for me. I wanted to get back in shape and get active again. I've accomplished this w/o alot of restriction. However, for me it is more about being full/satisfied longer than about eating smaller portions. As much as I work out (run 10-15 miles per week, lift 4 nights a week, softball 1-2 nights a week, golf when I can) I need the extra calories. It is possible to lose weight w/o "proper" restriction. In fact, I get a little irritated when people say they don't work at losing weight right after surgery because they have not had a fill yet. For me, I made a concious decision to stop eating when I felt satisfied and it worked. I could have fit more food in if I wanted to, just didn't "need" to.

Have you been Critisized for wanting the band?

Good luck! And, thank you for your soldiers service. That is just your NY liberalism kicking in. You need to stop being such a wuss and tell everyone.:welldone2::frown: As for me, everyone I've told (and I've told everyone that will listen) has been supportive. Especially since they all know about all the hard work I've done to accomplish this success (and I tell them all about the hard work and hours in the gym as well:biggrin:). One of my officers had the band a couple years before me. Almost immediately after my surgery I've had others at work ask if I think he is jealous because he has not had the same success as I've had. I just tell them I don't have time to worry about him. I know he does not work out and am told (he works overnights) that his diet is crap. I just worry about myself and my successes and failures. -
Wow, slow start to the new month.:welldone2: Hit the gym last night for upper body circuits and 35 minutes on the elliptical. This morning was 2 miles along the river. For some reason, it SUCKED. I can't even claim it was a fast pace, 9 minute miles. I'm used to that.:frown: Oh well, sometimes we just have "those days". This afternoon will be legs and elliptical again.

Let's keep 'er rolling along. Same rules as always: none. All you have to do is list your exercises you are doing. Just a way of keeping us accountable to each other. As for me today, nada. Slept in after two nights of softball and a fill yesterday. Just didn't feel like my innards could take the jostling of running on the treadmill after the fill. I can still feel the swelling a bit. I'll get back to it tomorrow. If nothing else, I'll hit the elliptical.

To all those that have served and their families: THANK YOU! Words alone cannot express my sentiments for your sacrifice. You've protected us all with your service.

I use NO Xplode prior to my lifting. Otherwise, I just stick with protein drinks during the day and after working out.

Saturday afternoon I hit the golf range for a bucket of balls. First time this year I've had the clubs out. Late last year a friend of mine gave me a pointer to try to fix my wicked slice (seriously, thing needed a turn signal most of the time:biggrin:). Worked last year, but I was afraid it might have been a fluke. Not so:thumbup:. I was hitting some BOMBS off the driver after warming up. Yesterday, I tried to run running in the p.m. I tried the 3.6 mile loop bossman showed me a couple weeks ago that I struggled with, but tried a week later w/o any problems. Struggled again yesterday. I've come up with a theory. If I have eaten at any time during the day, I cannot run. I think my pouch is so close to my diaphragm when it has food in it and does not allow me to breath deep enough to run. I may be wrong though and it is just in my head:out: I ended up with a total of running 2.5 miles of the 3.6. This morning, I hit the gym for upper body circuit training. I am working a double, so nothing else today. I'll get back to it tomorrow.

Thurs.-upper body workout followed up with 35 minutes on elliptical. Yesterday-Nothing outside of mowing the front lawn and some other yard work. This morning-3 miles on the treadmill as it was raining kind of hard today.
