Where'd everyone go? Am I all alone in here again? No wonder I disappear from time to time. I hate being alone. Ran 4.1 miles this morning. Back to lifting tonight. Body needed the rest, but I'm itching to get back. Amazing how one week off can make you feel weak.

Drive by from a lurker: I could handle the squats w/little problem. I can manage the bench for about 6-7 reps. For HS kids to do 10 reps at that, I'M IMPRESSED! No way I could do that back then. But, then again, my school/coach didn't endorse weight lifting.
-
I would hope he would be. I'll be eagerly anticipating the pics. Thanks. No exercise for me today. After 16 hrs and 15 hrs in 2 days, just don't have the energy to do it today.

Way to rub it in. And then to blaspeme the new digs with a Gnats hat? I may have to boycott you just for that.

Had to. I can't have a 5'1" woman showing bigger arms than me! Especially a Gnats fan no less. Thank you very much Ebony. I takes alot of work most mornings. Of course, seeing others at it helps inspire me alot as well.

16 hrs worked yesterday with another 14 today. Only made 2 miles this morning. Feeling a little tired.

3 miles today followed by 15 minutes on elliptical

Another day, another 3.6 miles of running.

Went down to Des Moines for training last Wed. Got down there and received a text from DW that her grandmother had died that morning. Had been planning on spending the wknd w/friends after all the training, but that got put off as the funeral was Saturday morning. Got in all my workouts last week minus legs. Got in 3.6 miles this morning running along the Mississippi. Feels good to be running again. No lifting this week. After 2 mos. of HEAVY weights, I need the week off to let things heal a little.

Thats only because I've been too busy to post more than once. And, you know I meant that your legs are more muscular than that tiny twits legs. You know I've got nuthin' but for you. Even if you do cheer for a crap team:biggrin:
-
I would say that a certain NY Gnats QB does the same thing, but even you have bigger legs than he does.

Last night did not go well. I was able to muscle my way through 3 sets of 4 reps @ 285 on bench. After that, too much pain in left forearm to continue.:w00t: Today, I ran another 2 miles. I'll try legs tonight.

Wow! If I was less humble, or even narcissistic, I would assume that these exercise challenge threads just don't go anywhere w/o my adding to them based on this months thread. Well, fear not, I'm still around and exercising. Just haven't felt much like being social, even on the internet. But, I am back and will start posting again on what I'm doing. This morning I was able to run for the first time since dr. told me to lay off for a month after taking a line drive off the instep in softball. I only waited 2 1/2 wks. Shhhhh, don't tell the doc. Tonight will be chest workout. Still going heavy on the lifting. Since I started this routine, my bench weight has gone from doing 245 for 3 sets of 4-6 reps to 285-290 for 3 sets of 4-6 reps. I LIKE IT!!!!! We'll see how the foot feels after todays little run tomorrow and may try a little mor.

Tap, as I am biased about the disrespect shown to the police in our society today, it is nice to see the honest show of respect you show in your concern over these officers. Thank you. To the officer who gave his life, he will always be remembered by all his brethen in arms. His partner showed just how much we care for each other. I will keep her in my prayers for a full recovery. Also, prayers to for the families of both officers. Unfortunately, it has become "cool" in our society to disrespect the police. People only think of the bad ones that get in the news. They do not consider the officers that put their lives on the line each and every second of the day. Even the most mundane duty can change in a second and become a life or death ordeal. How many jobs are there that can say that?

Here are a couple pics I took after my workout on Wed. Essentially the same pic. Most of the size has been put on in the past 3 weeks due to a new workout routine I've started. All I can say is IT WORKS!!!!! Edit: And despite what the shirt says, that is an XL sized shirt. :-)

Worked out each day this week. Ran 2.5 miles on Tues. and 3.75 on Wed. Then, Wed. night @ softball, I took a line drive off the instep of my right foot. Nothing broken luckily, but very deep bruise. Took Thur off from cardio. Managed to tough out 35 minutes on elliptical on Friday and today. I'll try to hit the running on Monday again. Foot feels alot better compared to Thursday morning.

Yesterday-took a day off from running. Hit the gym and did back workout. Today-Ran 4.1 miles along the Mississippi. Tonight will be bi's and tri's. Have a Happy 4th everyone!

Another new month, another new exercse challenge. After a weekend of softball and golf, I'm back on the path. Ran 2.25 miles on the treadmill this morning as I didn't have time to get out and run on the path by the Mississippi and get on duty in time. Upper body and more cardio tonight.
