    Crying or ticked off

Me tooooo!!! I thought it was just me bc I could cry and in the next breath want to yell at someone. I had to stop taking my bc pills prior to surgery and not allowed to take them until 30 days out (I'm 3 weeks post op). But if hormones are stored on extra fat then that makes sense. Good luck to everyone around us! ????
  2. Yes I felt the same way! I think in my second week the head hunger started to wear off and it's a struggle to eat anything at all bc of lack of appetite. I'm only 3 weeks 2 days out and btw I have stalled this week which I hear is very common in the third week just FYI :/ . But things have gotten a lot aside with not wanting everything in sight so hang in there!

    Two weeks post-op

I am 3 weeks post op and have lost roughly 17lbs since day of surgery. I haven't lost anything this week and am just hearing about the 3 week stall. But I think u are on the right track with lbs lost although I know everyone is different.

    Liquid diet protein

I'm doing ok. I am two weeks out tomorrow and I'm still on liquids until my first post op appt on Thursday. I'm not very sore and haven't been taking pain meds for around a week. My problem is I'm not drinking enough fluids in general and not enough protein either. I've got to get better bc I've been dizzy and literally have no energy. My dr will not be happy if I don't get a little better at it. The problem is I have to write everything down and keep reminder alarms bc I forget to eat unless I'm bored....And head hunger is real!!! It's really hard just being on liquids but I'm hoping once I'm on puréed foods and can "chew" it will be better.

Aww I'm sorry it got cancelled. Hopefully you can reschedule for sooner rather than later. Mine went great I stayed 3 nights in the hospital bc I wasn't able to drink enough and had bad nausea. But I'm home now and things are getting much better

So how did it go? I'm still in the hospital

    Liquid diet protein

I had surgery yesterday and will be in the hospital til tomorrow. It was a fairly fast surgery everything went well. I'm having a hard time drinking still and my nausea is still pretty bad. They switched my pain medicine to a liquid I have to drink and I can't drink it fast enough so I'm not getting my pain completely under control yet
  10. I'll also add that after my friend lost 60# she still weighs close to 300#
  11. I had the band placed 4 yes ago, I got a puncture in my tubing and my port displaced within 6 mths. They didn't know I had a puncture and just scheduled surgery to re-place the port two additional times before figuring out I had a puncture, fibrin grew inside my tubing and wrapped around my tubing and my port came loose within 2 weeks of repositioning it during surgery. I am scheduled to revise to the sleeve tomorrow! I have been dealing with this band for 4 long years with almost zero results because of the band not me. My sister had the band and lost almost 100lbs and then after having babies her port became detached and the band has slipped from vomiting. My friend has the band and lost about 60lbs with it and is maintaining for at least 2-3 yrs now. But she vomits or "slimes" after every meal she has (which might be related to the types of food she eats, or the band being too tight or other issues). My dr tried to talk me out of the band but I insisted and it was a terrible decision because this will be my 4th surgery in 4 yrs. And from what I have seen most people will have to have additional surgeries at some point with the band. It is a foreign object in your body and without any problems with it, it will still need to be replaced eventually. This is just my experience and I understand there are a lot of people with success with it.

    Liquid diet protein

Every person is different as far as protein goals mine is 70 gms. But I don't know about carbs etc during preop bc My Drs staff and dietician just says I can have sugar free pudding, skim milk, soups, 1-2 protein shakes a day, and pretty much anything liquid and sugar free. I haven't paid attention to anything else and as far as I know I don't need to. Then after surgery I think it's just important to get fluids and protein in and as u progress to stay low fat, no sugar no carbs until u reach goal and beyond. Hope that helps.
