Surgery on Dec 23, I have a cold and un-supportive husband
Finally_Lost_It replied to CravingABetterMe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Maybe he's scared you'll lose the rest of the weight and get more confident and thus less easily manipulated. In other words, I'm saying have the surgery! -

Congratulations! I'm hoping mine goes so well next week on Dec. 22nd. Kind of worried but posts like yours help calm me down a lot. Glad it went so well and best wishes! -
Good luck! Good luck to you too, James. Keep us posted!

Yes I'm Dec. 22nd. Starting to get nervous but I'm committed to this! I'm so ready for this that I don't care I'll be sipping liquids throughout Christmas and New Year's.

Finally_Lost_It replied to Lexuskela's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
"Click" brand coffee protein flavored mix does appear to have caffeine if you're avoiding that, however. -
NSV Top 10 Wish List
Finally_Lost_It replied to Josey Quinn's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Those are great! I'm a little over a week pre-op and I went shopping for gifts for family over the weekend and saw so many gorgeous clothes that I would like to think I can fit into by next Christmas! And I'm not a clothes horse. I would just like some nice things to wear instead of the same old 'fat clothes' I have. -
I too love my morning coffee. I know after the sleeve we aren't to have any for a while. I haven't been sleeved yet (surgery in a little over a week) but I'm thinking of making a vanilla protein shake and adding in some dissolved decaf instant crystals, just to have some kind of coffee flavored drink in the mornings when I get to that point.

Thanks for chiming in Emilie. I've been following this thread because surgery is 12/22 for me and I'm getting anxious about the pain, the gas, and the discomfort after surgery but I'm still committed to it. Seems all I can think about these last few days is this surgery and how it will go.

So good to read posts like yours, Jimney--I'm scheduled for surgery on 12/22 and I'm nervous. Thanks and good luck on your journey! (I'm a newbie here at this board too.)
