    2 days to go.

Casper_808, According to much doctor I can start exercising in week 2. It suggested that I do 1/3 of what I was doing and gradually increase each week. I think I'm going to hold off for a week and just work on my arms at home. I will try Gatorade & Propel to see if it will help. Thanks for the suggestions.

I was wondering if I was the only person not able to get the big pills down. My vitamins are huge and every day I'm sick and feel the pain from it being stuck. I'm not able to get enough fluids down because of my esophagus repair from the hernia. I also have a fluid restriction due to congested heart failure. I may only get 24 ounces down a day and I can feel the dehydration when I work out. I'm miserable!! I'm a little more than 2 weeks post-op so I'm on soft foods and it's a lot to get used to my new stomach. I'm full after 2 or 3 bites. I don't feel like I'm getting enough protein and I know I'm not getting enough fluids. I'm lost!

Jewels34 I went for my 1st post-op and fainted as soon as I walked in the door. My blood pressure was 58/46, pulse 120, dehydrated and blood sugar was 57. My doctor took me off my blood pressure and diabetic medications. But I'm back in the hospital for a few days. This really sucks!

I had my VSG on 9/17. Surgery went well but I had 2 hernias removed so I'm extremely sore. I have my 1st post-op appointment tomorrow. I can't wait for day 14 post-op to transition to soft foods. I'm tired of broth, water and sugar-free anything, the after taste is sickening. I've tried aspartame-freee protein drinks from my surgeon but it's still too sweet for me. I'm glad that this forum is here.
