    I've tried every vegan Protein mix I can get a sample pack of and they e all been unbearably chemical-sweet with a horrible aftertaste (all from stevia) and extremely gritty. I'd really like a vegan protein because milk Proteins make my arthritis flare up. but are there any that don't use stevia and aren't horribly gritty? I can stand a little chalkiness but when it feels like you are trying to swallow finely shredded bark it is too much for me. I have not tried sun warrior or mamalicious as they don't have samples so would love to know what u think of those.

    Panic attacks - help

    Counting backwards from 1000, helps me manage anxiety attacks. Sounds dumb but it works and is really simple. Even better if I take a deep breathe in and count on each exhalation.

I'm about a month away from having surgery (rnygp ) and reading about all the exercise you all are having to do -- but still not losing wt and having to count every calorie is getting g me getting worried. It sounds as hard as dieting has always been before surgery! Do we really have to exercise hours a day to lose weight after surgery? Don't get me wrong - I love exercise. But I don't have a couple of hours a day to devote to it. And my joints couldn't take it even if I did. So now I'm worried that maybe the rnygp (to restrict calories) plus a daily walk won't be enough for me lose the 120-140 lbs I need to lose.
  6. That article is not scientifically accurate at all. A very low-fat (10-20%), whole food, plant-based diet has been proven over and over again to be absolutely the most healthful diet. When are obtained by eating the foods from which they are extracted (e.g. Corn not corn oil; olives not olive oil, peanuts not peanut oil), you get the full benefit of the food instead of a ton of calories with only a tiny bit of nutritional benefit. The problem is, most studies that compare low-fat to other diets are not low fat at all. They are typically 25 to 50% fat!
