Plastic surgeons in Orange County, CA?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Now that I have my surgery date it's time to start researching plastic surgeons for those final touch ups! Since I'll be paying for this myself I will want to get going on that a little sooner then recommended probably. Any recommendations? -
My story is new gossip:(

I like that! I could say, "I finally just started eating less and exercising like I always knew but never did." -
My story is new gossip:(

I'm not planning on telling anyone at all. I can always tell later if I choose but once you tell you can't take it back! By the way, any suggestions on a reason I'm out of the office for a week? Not a vacation - taking one of those at Christmas. -
I was wondering about that too! if the operation takes about 45 minutes to an hour and I'm knocked out I'll be gagging and suffocating without it. Can they use one during the surgery? Do they have one there or I have to bring mine? I hardly use it at home since I breath fine sleeping on my tummy but 5 minutes on my back I'm choking so I've been meaning to ask my doc.

Need help to find the best protein power
itstimealready replied to wif3ysince08's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Haha uh oh...I've already bought at least 5 cases of premier protein and 3 more canisters of Unjury coming in a few days. I kinda wanted to do a month of liquid protein just to blow off as much weight as I can but who knows what I'll like or miss after surgery. -
I finally did it!

I wonder if gently bouncing on one of those little mini trampolines would help with the gas pains. Surgery in 2 weeks trying to get as prepared as possible. -
Time off work? One week? More?
itstimealready posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was planning on taking one week off of my desk job. I'm hoping that everything goes smoothly enough for that. I am low BMI so possibly that will help. I've heard of people taking a month off. I'm not quite sure how I could do that especially since I'm not planning on telling anyone the real reason! How long did you take off? -
I would really love to drink organic shakes and a lot of these things that we're going to be eating. Does anyone know of of any organic brands of baby food or shakes? Do you think this is possible?

I'm using this site on the iphone app so some of these things might not be functional. I don't see any kind of a tracker but that would be pretty cool. -
Can you do this all organic?
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The organic protein powders/shakes I've seen were so high in carbs though I guess I'll have to wait for maintenance. -
I totally intend to take an uber home! Haha good job Ivydol13!

No need for sleep?
itstimealready replied to alwtg's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Maybe it's that there's no more food coma - that very well might be the case for me in 10 days. I know whenever I have fasted I would have lots of energy as none of it is tied up digesting my food I guess. -
Once we're normal sized we'll no doubt be getting a lot of attention from lots of people. I wonder if there will be a prejudice against us in telling someone we've gone through WLS because when they see us we look fantastic. just curious.

No protein & no vitamins, is it a problem?
itstimealready replied to Melvyn96's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No vitamin water. Use that valuable real estate in your tiny tummy for water and protein. The program is tried and true - just stick to what they told you and you're bound to succeed and feel much better. -
I totally get what you mean! I have an obscene amount of clothes. My closet looks like a store - everything from size 0 to 16! And they're lovely clothes that were hard to seek out - relatively flattering for my shape at many, many weights. It took me years of collecting this wardrobe and it's always depressing buying a bigger size so the last thing I would want to do is toss them and have to do go out an buy again in larger sizes and spend money for it!!! So I completely concur! Not sure how long I want to wait before I do finally toss them out since I do feel like this time will be forever. Maybe I'll find a good tailor and gradually have some of these altered, although sometimes that's more expensive than just buying something new but a lot of my things are classic styles that I will always wear.

4 months out "HAIR THINNING" OMG
itstimealready replied to Tamster01's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had a hairdresser fry my hair off with bleach about a year ago and for the last year I have babied it, only washed once a week, no heat, no blow drying, and taking such great care of it that now it's down to the middle of my back and I've never been happier! It's thick and beautiful but....surgery is in 2 weeks. I really hate to lose the mane I've worked so hard for. I really, really wish there were a trick to keep it. Will seriously investigate the Rogaine idea. -
It's easy to lose your perspective. When I lost 70 pounds before (I've yo-yo-ed a lot before my sleeve) I remember going into the Gap to buy some jeans and I weighed about 134 pounds which wasn't all that thin, I didn't think, and I wore a 00 size. I asked the girl at the counter, "don't you have a smaller size?" and she said no and I said, "well what do skinny girls wear?" and she looked at me dumbfounded and said, "you're skinny!" I couldn't get it through my head!

Anyone else feel scared they'll gain it back?
itstimealready replied to Debbieduck4's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I lost 70 pounds on the hCG diet and the minute I got to my goal started heading back up the scale that day, I think. My surgery date is in about two weeks and I'm terrified of regaining after I cut half my stomach off! That would be really humiliating (just to me I don't care what other people think). I almost didn't schedule the surgery when I went to one of those meetings and it was a whole roomful of people that have had surgery five and six years ago and were fat. I was completely shocked. To me this is an extremely radical surgery so it better work. Praying that cutting the hunger hormones out is going to be a huge help. I think that's human nature to worry very much about gaining it back because this is kind of the last resort. Not trying to be negative just honest. -

Wait, I stocked up on premier shakes. I thought that was my go-to drink for right after surgery. That and water. Am I wrong? -
