Any deals on Unjury protein powders or Premier shakes out there?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have fallen in love with the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein powder unflavored and the chicken broth but gee that's pricey if you want to eat several meals a day with it so I'm wondering if anybody knows of any promo codes or coupons or what's the cheapest way to buy it? Also I HATE paying for shipping even when it's $5.99 flat when I buy 4 tubs. The cheapest way I've found to buy Premier shakes is packs of 18 on eBay for about $55. that's pretty good, but I thought maybe you guys know of even better deals. Thanks! oops I was buying 2 cases at a time on EBAY for the $55! -
Do you use PatchMD vitamin patches?
itstimealready replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I didn't realize that you sold them. I would've bought from you! I ordered the multivitamin the B12 and the antiaging ones and they came today. I thought they were a little pricey but I'll check your prices too. I thought this was a good idea for my first month postop maybe I'll continue. I do wish they were waterproof. My first day and have already had a shower at the wrong time so it does seem very wasteful. -
Labs are back ... PatchMD seems to be working

I just bought the multi and the B 12 today. Had never even heard of them until this post. They're kinda pricey - $40 for 1 month supply of both plus tax and shipping but for now ( 8 days out of surgery) it beats gagging on chewables! Thanks! -
Things you feel good about?
itstimealready replied to Joymarie333's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just got my sleeve on October 26 so it's not even been two weeks. I'm down about 10 pounds but the main thing I notice is since I'm not eating very much I'm not so groggy or in a food coma ALL THE TIME like I used to be. I can't believe how clear my head is and how much energy I have not having a belly full of junk food and carbs. I'm in such a good mood, well probably because I'm walking every day which I haven't done in years and those endorphins are making me smile at everyone and people who have no idea say, "Well, you look good." I don't look any different at all yet haha but I'm smiling and happy. That's probably a huge difference. I'm optimistic and super excited about what life will bring for the first time in a long time. -

At 6 Wks be going home for Christmas. They don't know! What can I eat to blend in?
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How soon do most people start adding fats? I can find soft foods but it seems the only lower carb ones have a lot of fat. I'm new so a little scared of fitting in only to barf at dinner! Lol -

At 6 weeks post surgery I'll be going home for Christmas. They don't know! I haven't told anyone. What can I eat to blend in? They are used to me being on some crazy diet program off and on for all of my life so it won't be that strange although I know they find it annoying when I'm picky about eating. Oddly not the times when I'm eating every scrap in the house and costing them a fortune...anyway I digress. I am planning on being all liquid for four weeks and so it'll only be a couple weeks of starting to eat some puréed foods and things so it's going to be really a challenge. Any foods and tricks you guys can suggest? thanks so much! -
If you weren't obese "all" of your life, what is it that caused you to become obese ?

The ballet world is a freaky place especially at the top levels. Great background in some respects but body issues abound! -
2 weeks beyond surgery still hungry 2,200 calories a day what's wrong?
itstimealready replied to Dallas Powell's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Was your surgery in the US? I have heard of people getting other kinds of operations where they cut you open and stitch you back but they don't actually do the operation! That just came to mind hearing your story. -

Always yo-yoed. Former (in the last century) professional ballet dancer with serious food issues. Very successful business went completely broke with crushing debt after the crash and (unrelated) guy I was supposed to marry broke up with me and married some random chick 2 days later. Yeah, I'd call that a life blow. I just said to hell with it all and ballooned up about 70 lbs. (20 more than my all time high of 199). Boy, did I show him! Lol Sooo happy to be on the mend and turning this ship around and kissing those yo yo dieting days goodbye forever. -
momentary stomach discomfort and gas burps with drinks post op
itstimealready replied to valentinegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a little worried that I can gulp down 8 oz of water in about 15-20 minutes at 6 days out. Hope he made this thing small enough. -
Speaking of gas...if they ever start testing people for emissions we're all going to need some of that Volkswagen software. Ba dum bum

Thanks so much guys! The Princess Plan - my family would TOTALLY buy that! So would I in the old days - just no peas in the bed haha (princess and the pea?) keep 'em coming. It really helps get my head in the right place too. -
How soon after surgery are you supposed to start LOSING?!?
itstimealready posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm just on day 3 - I think - surgery was Monday, today's wed. Is that day 2? Oh, maybe I'm being impatient. I know I'm swollen and sore from surgery. I gained 4 lbs I think (I was so out of it the first few days). Today I was down 1 from pre surgery. I'm a bit tired but b o r e d! I'm getting I think all my Water in and I had a little Jell-O and some premier Protein shake and powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken broth that was actually really good and soothing. The only Popsicles I could find said "no added sugar" so basically that was a bunch of fruit juice which I don't think is a very good choice for me with my sugar problems, sugar addiction, I should say so I only had a couple. I'm walking around but not at the gym or anything like that. I was thinking about walking I don't know maybe a quarter-mile to the grocery store today but I didn't make it. just wondering what everyone else's goals and landmarks were for the first few days or weeks. thanks!!! -
Hey wait a minute. Why do I only have 3 not 5 scars?!?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Somebody was just talking about their "five scars" and I all of a sudden realized, wait a minute I only have three! what's going on? I hope my doctor actually did this thing, right? It was in the states so I'm sure he did... I'm just kidding. I think there might be a scar in my belly button I don't want to move it around too much I'm only six days postop but he's a freaking genius if he only did three. Those will fade easily and be easy to pretend I never had this. Haha But what's going on? Anyone seen this before? Trying to post a pic... -
How long did you wear that girdle waist thingy after surgery?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not even sure why they put it on us but I was thinking it was a little bit of a security blanket. I love the support feeling. -

I've got my Date Oct. 19, Anyone close to that?
itstimealready replied to Trisha213's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ive heard of Prilosec. I'm inly 6 days out and I can't believe how much I can hold! I can drink 8 ounces in about 15 minutes. Have never thrown up or had any pain. I hope that since I'm low BMI the surgeon didn't make my stomach larger than the usual. I'm not saying I'm particularly hungry but a couple times I thought I might be. I had heard of people taking Prilosec because sometimes the stomach acid is making people feel like they're hungry. I've never taken anything like that so I can call my doctor but anyone know anything about that? -

Has anyone else had Gastric Sleeve done in India?
itstimealready replied to mrrugby's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would imagine they'd do a great job. Ive heard great things about medicine there. The reason most people go to another country for the surgery is because it's cheaper but if you tack on the flight to India I'm not sure it is still a savings although you could stay there for weeks for pennies or rupees, I guess in this case and probably have a great doctor and quite affordable medical care. Good thinking. -
I'm counting the days! That's the thing I missed most during this last waxing yo-yo dieting phase. Never will I miss it again! Enjoy every minute!
