Has anyone done this without any family, etc. at the hospital?
itstimealready replied to 280journey's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow! I've told a couple of friends, but no family. I'll be alone too, my husband will be home with the children, and I prefer being alone when I'm sick anyway! Has anyone noticed you're eating differently? Not one! And I keep my premier shakes in the office refrigerator so evidently no one is familiar with that brand that it generally has to do with surgery but the weight-loss is coming off so danged slowly that no one has noticed that either. I usually nibble at my desk all day so I do the same thing and no one, seriously, not one person has noticed anything. almost a little disappointing. Lol I've lost about 25 lbs in 6 weeks - and I'm low BMI. The one thing I did mention is that I get up and walk in the mornings so if anything maybe people think that that's helping a little bit. Lol -

I told ZERO people. Only you guys. I took an uber home from the hospital. It was a piece of cake. No one has even noticed. -
Weight loss on track but I eat a LOT
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have no instructions about weighing and measuring - only eat all your protein and water! That's why I'm asking. They act like the sleeve will restrict but for me it doesn't. No guidance in portions and since I'm in no way uncomfortable how am I supposed to know? -
Weight loss on track but I eat a LOT
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes all eaten pretty much in same meal. I had heard people who said they could only eat one egg. I could probably eat four or five gradually I'm not quite sure why. -
Very discourged
itstimealready replied to Munecagirl85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is it a good idea to watch fat grams? I'm 6 Wks out and mostly low fat everything but it seems like the low-fat stuff has more carbs so I was thinking it might be better to go with higher fat low-carb when making choices. what do you think? -
October sleevers
itstimealready replied to beauty29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oct 26. Feeling pretty normal now. Next week is 6 weeks and time for normal food. A little nervous. How're all you October sleevers doing? -
Tummy Tuck Results!
itstimealready replied to srahjean's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Are you just wanting people to read your blog? Too much to weed through for tummy tuck pics. I wanted to see but too much work. -
Why no liquids with food? I forgot. I'm only on purées but it seems like it all works better with liquid. I'd never get my Water in if I took 3 hours out of the day for eating! When I used to do holistic stuff the reasoning was that liquids dilute the digestive enzymes. I fact I took digestive enzyme supplements. I've never heard anyone taking them apres surgery. Would that be a bad or good idea?

exercise after surgery, what did you start with?
itstimealready replied to Amanda Elder's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was walking at the hospital then walking around my neighborhood building up to about 1 1/2-2 miles a day by 4 weeks then cleared for elliptical at the gym. I'll wait for 6 weeks to be cleared for unlimited and add weights to my regime. -
Went to the gym today at 4.5 wks. How do I know if I hurt myself?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt great. Did 45 minutes on elliptical...then got cocky and did a bunch of crunches and a few arm machines with lighter weights (40 lbs) and now tummy is hurting. Feels like it irritated my inside incisions. What can I do now? I'm just resting with some Tylenol. Ughhhh do you think I hurt myself? I'm approved to jump horses and unrestricted excessive at 6 wks. I wasn't expecting to get so carried away today. -
I was about 217 surgery day 10/26. Today 196. I walk every morning 2 mi. Seriously I thought I'd lose way faster - I always did before. I had a week and a half stall but am losing again. I watch my carbs... I'll just see what happens. It hasn't been too hard so I really can't complain. But at this rate it will take me longer than expected to lose the 60 more.

Can you buy Unjury in the store?
itstimealready replied to topazz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I go through it so fast - I don;t find it particularly cheap at all! Is it available in BULK? Like for nursing homes or something? I would buy a few pounds of the chicken soup and the unflavored! -
What is that brand of milk everybody loves that's lactose free?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I heard of a brand of milk on here that I wanted to try but cannot remember the brand. It was a very popular fat free lactose free brand. Thanks! -
I'm 3 1/2 weeks post if but will be in puréed stage for another couple weeks.

12lbs in first 3 weeks?!? What am I doing wrong?!?
itstimealready posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved October 26 and I'm still in the liquid phase. I get up and walk a mile every morning. how in the heck can I be losing weight so slowly? Yes, I'm low BMI but I've lost weight easily in the past. In the past when I yo-yo dieted and trust me, I've done every diet there is, in the first three weeks for sure I would lose a pound a day - 21 pounds, no problem. this is very frustrating! I drink three or four premium shakes a day and I think I get all my Water in and also alternate with powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup. I get it that has a little bit of salt but come on. I added a couple organic Soups with 15g of carbs per serving and I'll have one serving with unflavored Protein. That's insane if that's causing my stall but seriously what is happening here? I'm not even at three weeks yet. -
Keep going...there are great ideas. I was a lil afraid of cheese and anything too greasy not sure why. I'm in love with fat free turkey chili!

Turmeric capsule

I love the taste of turmeric. I put it in everything. Definitely helps with inflammation. -
Stupid things people say when they find out you've had surgery....
itstimealready replied to Awjones28's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It's so weird...I told NO ONE and only took a week off work. Since I wear that stomach brace wrap thingy you can't even tell that I've lost weight. It's been 3 weeks and no ones said a thing. By the time the weight loss shows no one will put the two together. I just said I was walking more. -
Need some advice, about skin.
itstimealready replied to winklie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So everybody gets dry skin? I thought it was the suddenly cold weather. I never needed a moisturizer but I sure do now. -
Tomorrow marks one week post op! Purée food ideas?
itstimealready replied to Whynotnow's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Refried Beans don't cause gas? I bought some today - I'm 3 weeks out today - but too scared to eat them yet. Had cottage cheese and also some instant pudding made with nonfat Fairlife milk and 1 1/2 scoops of unjury unflavored Protein powder ( for the whole box). Pretty boring dinner - basically like a thicker version of shakes. -
12lbs in first 3 weeks?!? What am I doing wrong?!?
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just know that the first month is the easiest so I wanted to take full advantage of not being able to eat solids etc. -
12lbs in first 3 weeks?!? What am I doing wrong?!?
itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
But I didn't diet preop. I actually gained from my food funerals. A few of that is clothes and shoes at the dr Ofc. -

itstimealready replied to itstimealready's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm just concerned that I'm already losing slowly in the very easiest portion of this - the first 3 weeks. I hear of people not even looking at carbs. Maybe I'll trim mine to like 20. I'm just very curious why this is the first time in my life I haven't lost very fast when I'm eating pretty much the same thing as I did back in the yo-yo diet days...so...confusing. -
I'm almost 3 weeks out and no one knows! It was way easier than I thought. Even with all my shakes in the office fridge people just no one even notices what I'm eating and it's been problem free. I'm so so glad I didn't tell anyone especially since the weight is coming off a lot slower than expected.

Just found it - Fairlife! Heard soooo many good things about it. I'm getting ready to start purées - so happy.
