I was just wondering since you are from texas, where you go for fills. I was banded in Mexicali on the 24th and I was looking for someone that would do it that was closer?

4 days post-op and feel sick
stumpy36 replied to illion's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband and I were both banded on Janurary 24th. I have no problem swallowing but I have a problem everytime I drink a clear liquid I am in the bathroom. My husband on the other hand cannot drink. He told the doctor that it feels like it gets stuck and they ran a barium swallow 2 times and said everything was fine but he says everytime he takes a drink it feels like he is choking and it is getting stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do for both of us. I feel so empty and so does he. -
Protein supplements and Multi-vitamins

You can go to unjury.com and order protien powder as well as broth. I had samples sent to me in the chocolate and vanilla as well as the chicken broth and it taste really good. It has 20 grams of protien per serving and none of the high carbs. -
:confused:My husband and I have both decided to get the band done. My mother in law is also going to do it with us. We are scheduled to have the surgery on January 24th. My question is, I don't have but maybe 40-50 lbs to lose and my bmi is alot lower than my husbands and my mother in laws. Is this surgery still going to help me get where I need to be. I have been overweight most of my life and I have lost a tremendous amount of weight but always seem to get it back. With two back surgeries under my belt I don't move as much as I used to so it is very difficult for me to lose the weight. Do you think this will work for me?

I was just wondering if the risks that they talk about on all of the websites, if these are general or if by chance these happen alot or just sometimes. I realiize that the discomfort is something that everyone will face but what about infections and vomitting Etc.

How many fills? How many cc's? -- until you were there?
stumpy36 replied to citimom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
is having that many fills necessary. I wanted to get restriction right off the bat but it sounds like I am going to have to be out for about 4-6 weeks before I know for sure. How do you know what size band you need. Some people talk about 10CC and others say 4, what is the rule of thumb. -
Does anyone have any experience with being so over weight and having bad knees that you are not able to move. I know once the weight starts coming off then I will be able to move but do you have any suggestions on things to do for exercise while I am starting out? :help:
