Looking at everything everyone else eats makes me feel bad, because i eat alot almost as if i never had the surgery. I've had fills, and unfills, and refills. I have lately just felt hungry alot. I was told no breads, peanut butter, no carbs. I have followed all that, and still feel like i'm not loosing enough. Maybe just not as quickly as I would like, I guess. I have my really bad days though...baked chips...love them. Tring to add more fruits and vegetables.

Is it normal to vomit water after fill?
confused replied to josuea02's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
yeah i could tell a difference after he unfilled me just that little bit. Before I had stomach cramps, pain in my chest and back. Then afterwards it was like heaven...no pain. But today I kind of wish i would have just lived with it tight, because I feel like I did before the fill. -
The band is just a tool...alot of hard work and exercise to make the tool work the way that everyone wants it to. I mean if you never exercise you will see some weight loss but not the numbers that you would love to see. As far as being diabetic, I can only tell you of my experience. I was diabetic, had my first prescription in my hand for insulian when I decided that I didn't want anything to do with being diabetic. So I found a hospital that was offering a weight loss seminar, meet with the doctor that night (that was October of 2006) filled out all the paperwork and got the process started. I had surgery January 18, 2007. I haven't had to check my sugar levels, and I never needed to fill that prescription either. I only have to take my thyroid medication and even that has dropped levels. I love my Band.

Is it normal to vomit water after fill?
confused replied to josuea02's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
all this just happened to me over this weekend. I got filled on Thursday and by Saturday I couldn't even sip water without throwing up. I called the doctor and he had me come in right away so he could take out just a little amount of the fill. -
all I can suggest is just drink your water try not to think about it. I will be truthful though, I thought about what i wanted to eat as soon as I could use the blender. That was the best meal I think I had ever ate, and that's only because I waited so long to eat it.

i was filled on Thursday 1/24...and had to call the doctor this evening to have him take a small amount out. I couldn't even drink water (big gulps) without it sitting in the back of my throat, then all i could do was vomit water. This was the first time that I was ever filled so tight. The doctor said Thursday that he only put in so much, and that he could actually get more in but wasn't about to push it...maybe so much was to much for me.

Strange Reaction from Curves Workout "Friend"
confused replied to TexasRose's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
people are strange and exspecially the ladies that goes to curves. I was a member of a curves and all they seemed to like about the workout was the drama that is going on in someone elses life. If there wasn't any drama that day they would cause drama. After awhile curves no longer worked for me, and i couldn't handle the drama so i quit. -
I'm scared!!! Is lapband weight loss too slow?
confused replied to BellaPerdente's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
you really want to lose the weight slower vs. losing it so fast...and that's because losing it slowly allows your skin time to adjust, so that you don't get all that sag like gastric patients get. Less work to have done when we finally get to where we want to be. -
How much exercise is enough, is it 30 minutes or 45 minutes...or go till you kill over. Should i being doing cardio and strength, or one or the other? Which one will help me more? I'm having problems right now with gaining back some inches, and i have always lost weight slowly.

Hello everyone!!! I was banded last year on January 18th by Doctor Paul Stanish in Merrillville, Indiana. I have lost about 65 pounds maybe more. I call myself confused because the Doctor tells me one thing, then the lady (nurse) that does all his weighing and measurements tells me to do :confused:another...so i'm so confused, I just end up doing my own thing.
