Everything is going great! Down 10 lbs since Jan 2. Fluid intake no problems. Incisions are healing nicely. The red rashes due to the tape is annoying but healing up. Stitches will be out on Tuesday.

Was sleeved Tijunana, Mexico by Dr. Mario Almanza! Our experience was awesome, Great people, they are with you every step of the way. Passionate caring staff. Very accommodating. I was having an issue the first night of dry heaving, which could of been expected. And I also felt very low on sugar so I had a sugar IV for what they use for the diabetics, after that I was fine Now My voice is kind of gone lol because of the heaving. I was up and walking within a bit after recovery. X Ray tests are perfect. I went with 6 other people I know and met 2 new American friends. Crossing the borders was a piece of cake. The shopping experience was great. Doing awesome, quite the change and adjustment. Finally home and snuggled in my own bed, Gas pain is no more, Over all experience AMAZING! Would definitely recommend Dr. Almanza to anyone Day 7 doing well

Its getting closer to the craziest thing that I doing to myself. I would of never imagined weightless surgery. I was always a tiny thing, but once started high school it went all down hill from there. Even more once school and college was over. No forced to have gym every day. The cafe food was extremely fattening. The burgers, pizza, fries, poutine, chicken fingers. Anything deep fried. I don't think I remembered anything healthy. I can't wait for this to be done. I can't fit in any of my "big clothes anymore" I loved wearing jeans and tight fitted clothes. Now I resort to leggings and baggy shirts. I just want to burn it all. And Im tired of eating too much food, even more then I need. and I feel frustrated with myself. Its so depressing that all my old clothes are to small; the clothes I want to wear. I couldn't wear shorts all this summer they were all small, size 31 waist was even too small for me! I had no motivation the past 6 months. Its a New Year and a New me, cliche I know but it really is going to stick this time. Im sick of tired feeling huge, out of breath, sweats, eating junk, etc. Happy New Year!

12 more days! I can't wait. It seems so long waiting since we booked back in September. Now its almost here, been preparing myself like crazy. And shamefully eating all the food I want, not over indulging/overeating just eating what ever foods at breakfast, lunch, supper. I stayed away from some foods for a long time so I am eating that as well. I am mentally preparing myself that I know I can still have the food but in smaller quantities. Even tho I eat foods that cause me problems. But thats the issue thats all I eat. So when I have the sleeve done, I am totally changing my diet, protein/ fruits/veggies/nuts/seeds is my priority and the other stuff secondary. It will be so much easy for me to chafe my habits because when its something I don't like or haven't tried I only need to eat a bit. My pre op diet starts January 2nd, Surgery Date Jan 5th. Merry Christmas !

September 21st Current Stats: Nationality: Canadian Age: 26 Height: 5'3 Weight: 195 lbs BMI: 30+ Surgery: Gastric Sleeve Date: Jan 5th, 2016 Reasons why I am being sleeved 1. Digestive issues: IBS like symptoms 2. Fertility: TTC 5 years 3. Intolerances: Wheat, Dairy: Hard to avoid, so I figure if stomach is smaller I would eat smaller amounts so it may cause less havoc on my system. Reasons for my weight gain: I always been small all through school age, ate like a bird. Once high school hit a total different story. I don't over eat, I just eat the wrong foods, mainly fast foods and restaurants. I do not like a whole lot of fruits and veggies, I am obsessed with pasta; especially mac n cheese. And I am not active, And my thyroid is low. Now balanced with meds. When TTC I was put on a lot of meds because I been through 4 IVFs in 2 years. That also caused weight gain. It started to increase over the past 5 years. I was in the 150's 5 years ago, now in the 190's. It may not seem much but it shows. Especially since I am short. My mother was really overweight my whole life, Got the sleeve last year and lost 110 lbs . My sister is also doing the sleeve with me in Jan. When its my turn I hope you will follow along with my journey, and hope to inspire others to take charge of their health. I do not have the attitude that this is "The Easy Way Out" because its not! It is just as much as struggle as anything else. This surgery is a tool to assist, we still got to put in the work of eating healthy, eating the right amount, and exercising. I will continue this blog in January
