Hi, I'm Reagan and I am 44 years old. I never had trouble with weight as a child but as I got older and had children it slowly crept up. I have an unusual situation because I was born without my left leg. They believe the umbilical cord wrapped around my leg and amputated it in vitro. I had wonderful parents who encouraged me to ride bikes, water and snow ski and do just about anything I set my mind to.
Unfortunately, as my weight increased, I could no longer wear a prostheses so now I am crunching 225 lbs around and decided enough is enough. I have found a Dr (Dr Mckinney, Tyler, TX) who has given me hope that I can walk again one day. I am scheduled for Oct 26 and so excited.
I'm so happy to have a place to read other people's journeys and get questions answered and inspiration.
