I have been having slow recovery and issues with food/water. But my biggest problem is if I walk too much I am in pain! My incision sites start hurtin and burning and then in pain rest of the day. How much are you walking tee murray? (If you don't mind me asking) Thanks:D -

11 days post op still recovering normal?
mandycandy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 11 days out now since surgery. I am tolerating fluids and puree ok. But still sore and tired (moving slow soreness/pain with movement around incisions). I see others back to work after a week. There is NO WAY I could work right now. Have others experienced this also? When did you start to feel normal? Thanks -
I need advice! on food / stages and carbs

Are you supposed to be drinking protein drinks? I just purchased syntrax nectar (fuzzy navel) suggested by others. You might want to look at those. You definately need to get your protein in. 3 weeks in the hospital must have been awful! So sorry you were not well. Hopefully you are now on your way to a fast recovery:D -
Thanks! Iso pure is to me is like thin gelatin and leaves little pieces of goo in my mouth. I will definately try syntrax:)
-
Are the syntrax nectars a weird texture like the isopure clear fruit drinks in bottles? Thanks

My hardest is pain and protein drinks - don't like em can't get them down well. Also wish I could just sleep on my side without pain. Nothing is normal right now! Really takes an effort to stay positive!

You are not alone! Get better soon!

Mine say soup allowed pureed stage. And I asked my NUT about other soups and was told eat out protein solids drink broth 30 min later.

I can't stand the SMELL of any protein!!! I am trying to force them down but it takes 3-4 hrs for one drink! Glad I am not alone. Thanks to others for sharing it is all helpful! -

Starting to Shrink, I kinda feel the same way I have had complications and recovery has been painful, scary and difficult! I have asked myself why did I do this and I wish I would have known how difficult it would truly be. I do feel as I get better that I am starting to remember why I did this and try to refocus on getting to my goal. I hope things are better for us both and in a few months we look back and are greatful we did it! Good luck:D -
I had post op appt. and was told same thing. I wad just concerned because alot of people were back to work at 1 week. And didn't complain of discomfort. Thanks for sharing. Did you have the same problem?
