Anyone having surgery in Oct ?
werryd replied to Jenaenae84's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Didn't mean to spam anyone or any group. I just enjoy hearing from others about their journey. I'll leave the group. Best wishes everyone. -
I liked Pure Protein bars when I was pre-op. They are low sugar and low fat and high protein.

What is everyones favorite Protein Drink?
werryd replied to JellyBellyNoMore's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My favorite is P2O aka Protein 2 O at drinkprotein2o.com or Amazon. -
I can't believe you're getting pudding!?! I was told nothing that didn't fall off a spoon like milk. Try adding a bit of fairlife milk to make it more liquified.

How Many Grams of Sugar per Day?
werryd replied to bakawaka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nutritionist preached the following for each of my six mini meals: 10-15 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, no more than 10 grams of sugar and no more than 10 grams of fat. -
4 days after surgery and don't have that full feeling
werryd replied to tootie09's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had RNY bypass on Monday. I have 6 mini meals (1/4 cup to a 1/2 cup) per day but really focus on ensuring they are packed full of protein. Because of that I haven't felt hungry once. I also drink a bottle of P2O along with water too. Are you making sure to pack your liquids with protein? -
I'm four days out. I had the RNY bypass. Are you not getting nausea medicine? My procedure was Monday. But I was up that night walking the halls. I took the nausea medicine plus they gave me the patch behind my ear. It helps amazingly well! Walking doesn't sound like much but walking paired with two types of nausea meds and the pain meds helped drastically. I might not seem like it now but it really will get better day by day. Hang in there!

Please join our secret FB group . I'd love to join the FB group. My name is Dawn Roush Werry. It would be so helpful! I had surgery on 10/13 and doing pretty well. -
I had surgery Monday and came home last night. Walking helps so much with soreness and bloating/gas. The more you walk the easier it comes. Take your pain meds since they are offered and ask for nausea meds too. It'll get a little easier everyday.

Well, 8 hours to surgery! I'm excited and nervous. I feel prepared but still a little nervous. Other than having our daughter I've never had a hospital stay or surgery! ???????????? -
I like pure protein.

My surgery is 10/12. I'm so excited but today was my surgical class and doctor appointment so I'm now getting nervous! It's super helpful to hear from others with recent experiences! Congratulations on your surgery!!

10/12 is my day. I've been doing great until these past two weeks. I'm saying good bye to ice cream and looking forward to this journey. I'm very nervous but more excited!
