I drink beer. I just love all beer. I’m not an alcoholic I just want beer from time to time. -
I am 39 and year out from gastric bypass surgery. I am doing great and have lost 145. My mom really needs to do something but she keeps telling me she is too old. She is only 64. I know it would really help her. Is there anyone in that age group that could share their story for her?

I am a year out and have been doing great. I have lost 150 lbs. For some reason the last 2 weeks I am hungry all of the time which is something I haven't had a problem with since surgery. I try drinking water first but am still hungry after. I have to get this under control.

This is really inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thank you. You are all giving great feedback for her.

I lost a lot of hair after my bypass. I wore a wig for a while. It is coming back in now. Just not as fast as I would like. I looked great in the wig but it can be a pain at times.

Mine started growing back around 8 months out. I also started using a special shampoo but I can't remember the name. I will look when I get home.

That's good to hear. My husband had me worried. I have lost 130 pounds so I am sure it's my loss of insulation.

I am about 9 months out and I am freezing all the time. Is this normal?

So for 2.5 months I have been crushing up those gallbladder pills and mixing with v8. I am starting to get sick of v8. Was wanting to know what others do to take theirs?

I can't be the only one that can't stomach protein!
onega128 replied to sarahbethemails's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I try mixing the unflavored injury powder and the ready made premier protein. Both make me nauseas. I make my self suck down 1 premier protein a day. It takes a while. I haven't found the strawberry yet. I am hoping flavor makes a difference. I can't wait till I can get all my protein in by food. -
I am about 8 weeks out post op. I am suppose to be getting 90 grams of Protein in a day. I am lucky if I get to 70 grams. I just don't feel like eating. The shakes gross me out. I have lost 54 lbs since surgery but the doctor says I would lose faster if I get my protein goal. Just frustrated.

I am not even suppose to touch any kind of bread till 6 months out. I assume that includes pizza crust. -
