Has this happened to anyone else before? I really want to get that fill. I cant believe this happened.

Well, I got my fill. They do it under flouro and said everything looked fine so we did it. I had only lost 4 lbs since Jan 3 so I was due to have one. I just really need to be careful and focus on my eating when im eating and not other things.

I am in the same boat as you. I am scheduled for a fill tomorrow and I PB'd tonight on chicken too - see my post. I dont know what to do either.

I really dont think im too tight, I can eat too much and havent lost any weight in weeks. I was being careless and surfing the net and eating and I think I just didnt chew very well.

I am frustrated. I have lost about 28 lbs and have been stuck for weeks. It doesnt matter how much I ride my exercise bike or walk on the treadmill it wont budge. Im getting a fill next Monday. I hope that helps.

I am scheduled for a fill on Monday but am flying to Michigan on Wed for a conference until Friday. I am half tempted to reschedule as I would hate to get in a bad spot while out of state. On the otherhand I have been hardley losing any weight at all and I really think I need a fill. What should I do?

I could have written your exact post. I waqs banded on Nov 9th and have lost about 25 lbs but have been stuck for weeks. I also have 2cc in my small band. I am so frustrated!

I had a small fill on 12/12- my first 1.2cc now I have not noticed it did much restriction since then- not that I really know what it is. However the last two days when eating at dinner I got a severe tighntess in my chest- no throwing up or sliming but I ate some gas ex immediatly and was able to have lots of burps. It happened again this morning too. Am I eating too fast? What is happening? Is it possible my restriction is just now showing up? TIA

What do you generally eat for breakfeast? I have been having oatmeal everyday but I was just banded 11/9. I cant imagine cooking up something before work and sending the kids off in the morning.

This far out you should be eating pretty close to a regular diet. I would start with yogurt, oatmeal, mashed potatos, jello and other smushy stuff if you havent transitioned to it yet.

Near my port is absolutley killing me. It looks fine does not feel hot. Anyone experience this? This just started 2 days ago. I have called my dr who said to alt ice/heat. It is so bad it hurts to walk.

and I am to be at the Surgery Center. I am excited and terrified at the same time. I will post an update when I get home.

I had to do the six months diet. It is in their criteria for bariatric surgery. I dont know any way around it but to do it unless you hire a lawyer to help you. Good Luck

Are you talking about private ins or thru your employer? If its thru your employer its based on what type of policy that they purchased. I know for my work we have either Cigna or UHC and WLS is a covred benefit for this year and for next year as well.

My surgery is one week away. And as much as I want this and have had to fight with Cigna im getting a little frightened. I dont know whats going to happen. I have not met with Dr Benavides personally yet. Not until the day before. Please someone what will happen. Do they do anything so you dont get clots, die , etc?

Nov 9th for me. Getting nervous

I am so excited:p I was coming back from lunch today and it was the Dr B's office calling to tell me that the medical director from Cigna had called her and told her my denial was approved! I can hardley believe it. I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off of me.

I have had lots of surgery too. I hope this goes pretty smoothly.

Thanks everyone! You know it seems like finally I am here. I tryed in 2003 and was denied. This round I was denied twice and then magically by the grace of god Cigna reversed the decision after having another dr look at it. I was all set to appeal again. So, im on the countdown now and seems like everywhereI turn im hearing negative things about the band:nervous I have been so sure of this choice for 2 years and now that its happening im wonderig if this is the right choice. I really got creamed at work by someone who had RNY about how this is not gonna work and I better go at least see her dr before I go thru with this. I really dont want to. I NEED to believe that this is my option and what happens after it based on what I do with it. Did anyone experience this? I have no plans to not do it and figure it will all be fine in the end. Please tell me it's so.
