I'm so moody and unfortunately can't seem to control it. I'm only 1 week out of surgery. -
I have started to experience fatigue, extreme moodiness and walking makes me breathless. I can only walk outdoors late in the evening due to 100 plus temperatures in Texas. Anyone else have mood issues?

7 days since surgery and I am feeling tired, very moody and walking takes my breath away. Betty Buckaroo

Sleeve surgery went well, a little gas pain but no problems with nausea and vomiting. Hospital stay very easy, as hospital has Bariatric Unit and all staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Stegemann in Corpus Christi did a great job. -
Everything went well, a little gas pain but no problems. No nausea or vomiting.

Everything went well today, surgery was 45 minutes. No problems except a little gas pain, no nausea or vomiting.

My surgery is tomorrow, 6/20. Can't sleep, so excited and a little anxious. I had the worst urges to eat something tonight, must be my nerves. A new road to life sounds good. Wishing everyone luck and Godspeed.

Yes, I'm nervous and can't fall asleep. I'm excited though, looking forward to a healthy life and being more active.

I can be a buddy, but I'm new to this myself.

On 6 day of liquid pre op, very frustrated, having second thoughts, realizing I don't have a supportive family. Wondering if I can do this. -

WLS with Fibromyalgia and Arthritis of Unknown Origin
Betty Trigo replied to JenniferVSG2011's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I've had 6 spinal surgeries and it's not easy to find the best doctor. Whatever you do be sure to follow up with plenty of physical therapy, it makes a world of difference. -

Hello, There are so many forums, I don't know where to start. I also have an arthritic condition, Ankylosing Spondylitis, that has changed my life drastically. It took at least 10 years to finally get diagnosed. It started with severe lower back pain in my 30's, then loss of range of motion in my neck and spinal surgeries on my forties. The disease attacks the spine and sacroiliac joints. My last spinal surgery resulted in a spinal cord injury and disability in my early 50's. With lots of physical therapy, I can now walk with a rollator for short distances. I've been overweight all of my life, which I believe affected many aspects of my life. I carry a lot of sadness due to having spent so many years hating my body and disappointed in my inability to lose weight. Since my disease is progressive, I decided to finally have the gastric sleeve surgery in hopes that I can be as independent as possible. I backed out 2 years ago, but now I'm ready. I'm on day 4 of 14 day pre op diet. I'm looking for a support group. -

June 20th - excited and a little anxious. I've wanted this for years and so happy that I'm finally doing it. On liquids now,not too bad. -
My doctor recommends Iron, I've tried Bariatric Advantage grape chewable and find the taste hard to stomach. Can anyone recommend an Iron supplement that does taste too bad and doesn't cause horrible burp taste?
