Whoop whoop, my pre-surgery packet has been officially submitted today to my insurance company!! The lady from my surgeons office said it may take 4 days up to a week for an answer from my insurance company which is awesome! I started this journey back in October of 2015. I'm so glad it's almost finally over!! I hope I get approved..I'm so nervous that they will deny me and I did all of this for nothing..all the sacrifice and waiting . I really want this surgery to better my health and to live a longer, healthier, happier life for myself and for my three children. I'm praying every night that I get approved. Hi everyone! I've done everything I need to before having surgery except using my cpap machine. I got it over a month ago and I could not sleep with the full facial mask so I ended up switching it for a nasal mask. Is anyone using their cpap now before surgery? I have to wear it strictly for 30 days. I'm so close to the finish line but I'm having trouble keeping this mask on for at least 4 hours. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sometimes I feel as if the air blowing out is too hard and I get overwhelmed. Maybe it's all in my mind. I mentioned it to the tech and she said that's what the doctor ordered and that I'll get used to it. Did you experience that the first time you used your machine? What type of mask do you use? Congrats on your upcoming surgery! How exciting. I was supposed to have surgery at the end of this month but because I have to use my cpap machine for at least 30 days it has been pushed back until end of June or early July. I will definitely wear it around the house to get used to it and get my hours in. I hope I get used to it. I wonder if I have to wear it DURING surgery? I was seeing my pcp for two years now and ever since I started my journey I can't see my pcp because now all of a sudden she doesn't take my insurance so I see someone else who is robotic, rude, and doubts my success which has me wanting to give up but I know I really need this surgery. Has anyone ever had to switch PCP during the monthly 6 month supervised diet phase before surgery?! Is that even allowed? I don't know how that works. Even if I wasn't having surgery I would still switch pcps.
