Im pre op and not a veteran or anything but I'm replying to every pissy post with

I looooove Halloween but I've been trying to find a costume since August for a friends wedding on Halloween. I've been stressing out. I've tried on I know 50 costumes and I can't find anything. It's sooooo frustrating. So I gave up and I'm going to wear my black "funeral" dress and a cape. It's not fair. I was like bawling my eyes out in the dressing room when the ONE 3x didn't fit right. It's hopeless.

I had ice cream because I was weak. A hot fudge sundae no less. Luckily I'm pre op but I'm still trying really hard to just stop all this junk food eating. But I did it. Now I'm going to move on and try to eat better. But no candy. Or cupcakes at a wedding. So I'm not sure which is worse lol. I guess eating all 3 would be.

I didn't even know what a sleeve was until I talked to someone at work who had it done several years ago. I was just going to get by pass whenever I was thinking about doing it.

Said it in so many words at the seminar I went to.

My surgeon seems like he just flat out won't do lap band anymore.

Oooh! Some disclaimer about surgeons preferences. "My surgeon said ______ is that true?" Commonly used abbreviations. Just things I've seen.

"I'm ____ months out and I've only lost _____ is that normal?"

food for each stage of diet? "Does ______ count as pureed?" "I'm sick of eggs, can I eat _______?" "I'm in ____ stage, can I eat tacos?"

UC weight loss center is really nice. I like it.

I have my second appointment of SD coming up on November 9th. I was going for the sleeve but am having second thoughts now and looking at the bypass as well. I've done all my requirements except sleep study which is next Thursday and I'm still on the fence for sleeve or bypass. I mean what if something happens to my sleeved stomach and they need to take it out? What then? Or revision? Can't have a bypass after sleeve. And a lot of revisions end up in bypass anyway. I don't know. I don't have to really pick until I schedule but they all suggest the sleeve for me.

Add protein powder.

I think some people just get butt hurt too easy. I'm pre op. I appreciate the honesty. At first I was like "aaaahhhhh judgement wahhhh" but then I got over it. I ask my questions for a reason. I post my struggles for a reason. To get an answer and support. Whatever form it comes in (a sensitive post, sarcastic remark, a funny picture, etc). But also as a new person I have to wonder if some people are nothing but trolls posting bull crap questions to get a reaction. And it seems no body searches the forms for related topics before posting the same question for the 80th time. I understand the frustration but some people just need reassurance I guess.

My doctor said 6 months. I'm on full liquids for a month Then pureed for a month Then soft foods for a month Then real food. He told me to wait until I can eat more normally to drink.

Uuuugh this would be great practice for my pre op liquid diet but I'm super scared I'm going to like pass out and die. I'm already fuzzy and anxious for my surgery, I need brain power.

Sweetie I think this is best for you. Really. Take the time for yourself and focus on what you need to. We just want to see you healthy.
