The "In case I get fat again" part of my closet...
tacocat replied to AvaFern's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Purge purge purge! Also, while going through my closet..... A lot of my items I remembered buying at lane Bryant when I worked there. I haven't worked there since the year of September 11th. It feel so nice to be getting rid of these items, plus it'll be fun to refill when I reach goal. -
The friends thing is rough. I feel my friends like me less now that I am healthier. They try to indulge me with bad food and they always turn me down for the gym. They talk about trying to loose weight, but how it's so hard. Makes me want to shake them! It's rough seeing them fall into my old habits, yet I feel it isn't my place to say anything.

I'm only 2 months out and I don't quite have my full energy back. I did a 5k with obstacles 2 weeks ago and I was exhausted. I can't wait to have more energy.

Bucket list of things to do after weight loss...
tacocat replied to whisper43's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I must be able to complete monkey bars before I attempt. I was pretty active pre surgery...I hiked, I kayaked, I played roller derby. I feel once more weight is gone, I'll just be able to do these activities better. -

Thanks for posting. I was craving pizza the other day. I attempted cauliflower pizza and I wasn't all that successful. So far my best pizza was done on a portobello -

I've dated all through the process. I saw no reason to stop! I see myself as quite a catch and if someone doesn't see that through my fat, they're probably not worth my time. I think one key point is to gain the confidence....,it's a very attractive trait

I went on a couple dates with a guy, afterwards he sat me down for an intervention about my eating disorder. I sat him down and explained.

Anyone sleeved in late July?
tacocat replied to majorsmama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My weight loss is going well, I'm down 37 lbs. I'm meeting my protein goals and I typically fall just short of my water goals. I get up and walk 2 miles before work every week day. I average somewhere between 10k and 15 k steps a day. I've also tried to incorporate different night time activities, like hiking or roller skating. -
How Often Should You Weigh Yourself?
tacocat replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
I like to do it on Monday mornings.....that being said I did it daily for the last week, it wasn't as fun cause the numbers were much lower. The week gave me more of a oh la la moment. My scale is a narc too. It synchs to my Fitbit, so if I weigh early it logs it! -
I want this, but I'm suppose to avoid soy because of my thyroid issues.

When did you go back to work?
tacocat replied to MOMMY2MGM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I took a week and a half, I felt like I could have went back after a week. My job is decently crazy as I'm usually up and walking a lot, I also find myself getting on and off the floor a lot. I felt perfectly fine when I went back. -
Decaf coffee or water are my go tos. Sometimes herbal tea.

How Do You Get Yourself Out the Door to Exercise?
tacocat replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I set multiple alarms to go off between 5 and 530. I feel like I'm trick in myself when I work out in the am.....then I can be a bum post work. -
I'm pretty happy with my 2 to 4 lbs loss per week. I mean I'm not having to upgrade my wardrobe as fast and I feel it's a more natural loss. When I get on the scale and it is down, that is a win in my book!

Good luck!

I'm holding up well. It's a lot easier than I imagined. My energy is still down, I did the muddy mom as this weekend and it took me a day to recover! Just this morning, I can officially say I weigh less than my drivers license!!!! 37 lbs down

I said goodbye to the world of food with a trip to fogo de chao. Yum! I laugh now, cause I can still do restaurants, I just have to make better choices and I have more left overs!
