Traysag you really do have a wonderful attitude! Good-Luck to you on your journey! Dab OMG you have done WONDERFUL!!! How proud you must be?!? Good-Luck to all getting their bands! It is really a blessing and the best weight loss tool I have ever found!

Remember 50 off is better then 50 on!!! Not everyone drops it fast, you read it all over the board. I think your doing great because you are heading in a better direction then if you were doing nothing! You are on a journey to a better life! Your doing great <Thumbs up>

*Not to Embarrass you BUT you look GREAT!!!! * I understand 110%! I posted something back when I had lost 50 lbs and I couldn't "cut myself a break" when people noticed my weight loss and said things to me. Now that I am closer to 100 lbs the comments are daily and some people go on and on about it. I am very thankful but yes embarrassed. Maybe because YES to admit such large numbers lost means you have to admit where you were ( for me). I do chuckle to myself when someone says "OMG you are wasting away to nothing" (at 227 mind you) and others that don't know you look over at you like ??????? lol. When a patient comes in and says "Wow you have lost weight haven't you?" I just smile and respond "Yeah a few pounds" or " Yes a pound or two" The ones that go on and on I kinda move em to the side and make idle chit chat then try to move them along. So weird you posted this....I was just telling my husband this morning that with being heavy came issues...but with losing weight you have a whole new set of issues you are not accustom to.

Hey there :crying: Insurance can be fast or slow. I know this don't help much. I have heard of ppl here that got approved really fast and for me it was really slow. It is worth the wait either way! Good-Luck to you! :wink2:

Lawdy Mercy are we ready for another storm already? Crazy but did ya'll notice any change in your band tightness when we went through that tropical storm? I know it sounds crazy and I sure as heck don't know if it really is possible but dang if I felt tighter for a good 2-3 days well we were going through the bad weather. Maybe it was nerves? ( I didn't think I was nervous ) Who knows...I go in for a fill tomorrow and I think I will ask. Hope all is well in ya'lls world!!!! :biggrin2:

We were VERY blessed with this storm. We did not lose power <which is rare> and just limbs down. We did have a tornado close <is what the news said> But I am so glad we didn't get to meet up with it Welp I reckon just a few more months to go!

Well bless your heart welcome and congrats on your band! The pain you talk about does all seem to be "normal" the skin question you speak of has been brought up many times on the board and yes I am sure it depends on the person, how much weight they lost, age etc. Welcome to the board and read on! It's a great place to learn  Good-Luck to you on your journey! -
Hey there Tx how are you? The waiting game can be hard but so worth it! Take this time to read and learn! This is a great board to do that! Good-Luck to you!

Hey ya'll! I was signing on to see how everyone weathered the storm too! We were very blessed and didn't get hit to hard! Yesterday brought a lot of tornados and a lot of places close got hit but again...we were very blessed! The creepy part is when you look out at the docks and they are under water! The whole flipping thing! ( we live off the St. John's river) Hey good -Luck to those getting ready to get the band! It id very exciting I know! For those who already have the band keep up the GREAT work! We so deserve this! I have been bad about checking this thread but promise to do so daily! lol Seems I get so side tracked sometimes. Ya'll have a great one !!

I think a tattoo is a wonderful idea! A tattoo with meaning. I have not considered one for this particular venture in my life but how neat it will be when you come up with something! I hope you share. January my oldest turned 18 and I had just turned 40 <sob> We had talked long ago of getting a tattoo together, something that meant something to the both of us. We went down on his birthday and got a peace sign on our ankle ( We planned this years ago before the peace sign made such a come back) I have had many family members think we were dorks but I don't care, this is something we will have forever , something we share together. I think it's a great idea and if you find something you get or would like to get please let us know!!!!!

Hmmmm I just had blood work done and my bad cholesterol was up/good cholesterol down. I was shocked! My doctor said something about it but gosh, after the weight lose I have had so far I was speechless. I eat very little meat and eggs,I do more tofu and other meat replacement meals. I eat VERY different now then I did a year ago so it is a mystery to me too.

I agree with everyone on the board! Family gets worried and sometimes it comes across as non ~supportive. Bottom line you have to do what you feel comfy with and what is best for you. I agree where up front they may not be so helpful, after the fact they may be awesome! Good-Luck to you on your journey!
