  1. So I had surgery almost a year ago and I'm only down 60 pounds. I do eat appropriate but for the past two months my exercise has decreased tremendously dude to a knee injury. Day of surgery weight: 259 Today 198 I'm only 63 inches and yes I know we can't compare our journey to anyone else's but it's discouraging to read that someone had surgery this past March and is 80 pounds down and I'm almost a year out and barely at 60. I'm sure there is more I could be doing and would love some advice. My one year date is coming up and I would love to be at a total of 75 pounds down but am aware that's probably impossible. When I asked my surgery how much I'm expected to lose she said between 75-80 pounds which would still leave me in the overweight category but not morbidly obese. Any corrective criticism and advice would be helpful.
  2. This makes me feel better I'm almost at a year and only 65 down. My surgery weight was 253.
  3. That's pretty much how I'm feeling right about now.
  4. I'm in the medical field and sometimes things get hectic so I need quick go to easy foods and snack was just wondering if you all could give me some ideas. Currently I eat lots of almonds, boiled eggs and yogurt.
  5. This gave me hope. I'm seven months out and only down 57 pounds and losing faith.
  6. So I haven't had a single day of heartburn or acid reflux until three days ago and it's so bad that when I drink water it burns to go down. For some reason it started after I took a antibiotic, it had a hard time going down and took a lot of drinking to finally get it down. Seems like more things are starting to get stuck going down. Any idea what's going on?
  7. Just looking for some new ideas not just for breakfast but overall. Would love to hear some of your meal plans from those that have been successful in their journey.

    Gas smells horrible

Yes. I use gas x pills which helps a lot with gas but since surgery my bowel and gas smells have been horrifying to even myself
  9. I'm so happy to finally have hit another milestone in my journey, being able to cross my legs was probably my most happiest next to this one. I however sometimes get depressed that I'm almost six months out and have only lost 50 pounds. I do not compare myself to other sleevers, I'm just more so disappointed in myself because there are days when the wrong items go into my pouch and this mostly happens right before my period when pmsing. Besides that I am still always really tired and fatigued but have upped my vitamin intake in hopes of gaining more energy and I do eat right majority of the time but after work most days I'm just beat. I don't have a lot of loose skin due to slower weight loss but I'm starting to wonder if I'll continue to drop. My next goal is to get under 200. Here are my current stats: Surgery Day: 259 September 1, 2016 Current Weight: 209

    50 pounds down! But...

I haven't tracked my fatigue but yes to keeping a journal of the foods I eat. No longer on blood pressure medicine but these are great ideas that I plan to follow. Now that it's been mentioned it might be dehydration as I'm having issues getting all my fluids in. Anyone know why coffee isn't allowed?
  13. You think 36 pounds in two months is a slow lost? I'm almost five months out and have only lost 50
  14. Please send me list as well... cal2okl@gmail.com
  15. I'm four months out and wondered if it was okay to begin using straws again.
  16. Well ladies I went to my nut who stated not to use straws although I am nearly five months out. Reason being somethings along the eyes of air getting into my tummy.
  17. If you've upped your exercise check your calories, too little can mean stalls just as easily as too much.I'm not expert but 98 pounds seems awesome!! I've stalled for two months with a total of three pounds lost but I also wasn't doing things how I should of been. We have to acknowledge the role we play as well but from reading a lot on here I think stalling is normal
  18. I tell my husband this all the time but he swears all water taste and go down the same. My favorite water is penta, it's a little expensive but taste great and goes down smooth.LOL mine says it taste the same also and tell him it does not. I cannot drink Dasani as I taste all the minerals in it and it makes me nausea. I am going to have to try Penta.Try it I'm sure you'll love it!
  19. I use to drink almost a gallon of water a day but now it's hard for me to down it and especially quickly, if I do it gets stuck in my chest wall or something lol. But seriously this is annoying and does it ever get easier to drink continuously. I'm four months out by the way and wine seems to go down smoother.
  20. I tell my husband this all the time but he swears all water taste and go down the same. My favorite water is penta, it's a little expensive but taste great and goes down smooth.
  21. At one stage did you all start using straws again?
  22. hello I'm 4 months post op and been stalled over a month next week on the 29th will be 2 months stalled , how much have you lost so far, I'm so discouraged47 pounds total might be a little more as I weigh in today. The more frequent I eat and move the more the weight comes off but traveling recently didn't help my stall because I ate whenever and drank wine a lot. Now I'm back to my normal routine.

    People Suck!

The moment she said that your husband should have immediately discontinued the conversation with this other woman after telling her he doesn't tolerate anyone disrespecting his wife, especially since he's aware you're not confrontational.
