Almost a year out and only lost 64lbs
cal2okl replied to branlee90's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yeah this is very discouraging as I'm only four months out and have stalled over a month but I'm not exercising daily and spent the last week consuming to much wine but I was stalling prior. -
Which supplements/brand of vitamins do you find works best for you?
cal2okl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've tried the bariatric vitamins which make me sick to my stomach. I've read reviews on several different brands and kinds of vitamins. Someone recommended "catalyn," vitamins along with the norm. If you've tried please let me know how it worked. Just want to get a idea of the brands and type of vitamins you all begun your journey with. I'm four months out and vitamin d and iron are what I NEED. -
Help me I can not stop eating
cal2okl replied to shokoh's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I eat five small meals a day which usually keeps me content but during my cycle I tend to get hungry more often, try drinking a extra protein shake -
I absolutely regret having this surgery

I'm wondering if you are following your surgeons guidelines eating and drinking appropriately. Sounds like you rushed into surgery without careful thought and knowledge. What does your surgeon say? -

**Milestone** I can finally cross my legs!
cal2okl posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I know this seems minimal but yesterday while in the nail shop with my friend she made a joke "bitch lost ten pounds and think she cute because she can cross her legs." This is how we talk to and joke with each other to mask the fat girl pains we've endured together. But prior to her comment I hadn't even noticed that I was crossing my legs a lot. I couldn't cross them before and although I'm technically only 44 pounds down since beginning my journey September 1, 2015 this made me feel so good especially since I've been stalling the past month. -

Has anyone's sex life improved?! Anyone get pregnant shortly after?

Not sure if I'm allowed to ask such a question but the more weight I lose the more confident I become and the less shit I take from people. Please share if you've experienced similar things. -
Wish I hadn't Told Some...
cal2okl replied to WalkOnWaking's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I lost a few coworker friends which weren't really friends. I knew one of them would be jealous and upset, the moment she found out it was spread all over my job and we became enemies. Doesn't that say a lot? Some people can't even control their anger and jealousy which is what her issue really is because now you're dropping weight and because of it you look and feel much better which in turn creates self confidence. Fuck her! She will always have an underlining issue with something once she gets over the fact that you've done the surgery and it's nothing but stepping stones from this point on. -
The difference in a year...
cal2okl replied to cuchas's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I'm glad you mentioned the whole body dysmorphia thing because I to have been going through that. I use to buy 2xl shirts and pants because I prefer my clothes baggy and purchased a xl the other day that kept falling off of me. The only way I can tell that I've lost weight is by how my clothes fit. You look great!! Best of luck to you and your journey. -
I usually only cheat during pms week but last month it was almond thin cookies and while sugar free it's still high in fat. This month it's lays plain potato chips. Caught myself eating some yesterday and decided to toss the entire bag in the trash can.

Do not let others control your thinking. You know what's right for you. I'm 37 and was 259 standing 5'3" and would hear the same thing. Weight just doesn't come off as easy or at all once you hit your 30's. My only regret is not having done my surgery sooner like the two years I spent listening to every one else's opinions.

After reading this long explanation I'm still confused and was hoping you said because you wanted to get control of your weight before it continued to progress.

8 weeks post op and have only lost 25 pounds!
cal2okl posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I got on the scale today and was two pounds heavier than Monday which is when I usually weigh myself. I'm pmsing and felt really bloated so checked my weight. I've made some mistakes but for the most part have maintained a fairly decent diet. Why am I not losing more weight? I read that some have lost 35 in their first month. Could this mean my surgery isn't working or that I'm doing something wrong? I've cheated a few times but nothing major. Starting: 259 Day of Surgery: 253 Today: 227 -
9 weeks post op but extremely fatigued and tired!
cal2okl posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I started talking my vitamins about a week ago which includes iron, vitamin d and b-12 shots. This entire journey I've felt tired and worn out and now that I have returned to work by 5 all I want to do is crawl in bed and sleep. Anyone else dealing with this and are there any other suggestions? -

Pretty sure I'm hitting the mark on 65g of protein per day but can always use advice. Just recently started exercising and try to eat every three hours. I'm always sleep deprived. I think it's my vitamin levels... -
