    Getting sick before surgery?

My surgery is in 2 weeks and I was in the same boat as you doc gave me Flonase and Zyrtec she said those are fine to take with surgery around the corner plus I'd take vitamin c along with whatever vitamins your dr has you on during pre op to avoid really getting sick...Mine has me on multi, calcium, iron, and b-12.
  2. Ok so I started my journey back in August. I was given a big book explaining the procedure, the preop diet, the post op diet stages and an assortment of other useful information as well as a consultant and dietitian I could email with any questions and I did my own research as well... In general we as wls patients are Encouraged to ask questions before surgery so why am I still seeing people on forums asking about Protein bars at two weeks out or fruit at three weeks.. Was it not clear that u would be on a liquid or puréed diet this early on. Or my personal favorite I'm three weeks out I had half a hotdog and a chocolate milk I feel so sick, really I wonder why.... I'm 4 months out and I've been gaining this week, (reply stop weighing yourself) I was unaware you could gain weight just from stepping on a scale there should be warning on that thing "Warning may cause weigh gain..but seriously her issue was that she was gaining not weighing herself at that point would to me only make the situation worse if she changed nothing.

    November Sleevers

I'm scheduled for November 9 and I'm Georgia
  4. I have 6 weeks left til my surgery on November 9 and for the next 4 weeks I'm on a 1200 calorie 60 carbs or less and 80 protein.... I have realized one thing I live on carbs... I live on pizza pasta and bread products... I need help I asked my Nut to explain carbs to me and all she said was if you don't want carbs don't eat carbs, ok that's not the answer I was looking for.. Can anyone give me some idea of simple one person things I can eat that won't break the bank money wise carb wise or calorie wise

    I'm Approved but disappointed

I'm definitely still going through with the surgery I was just shocked my own sister would be such a b*tch
  7. So after 7 weeks of tests and running around getting paperwork and hounding my consultant I've finally been approved... My sister had her sleeve done back In March and lost 80 lbs...I was very supportive but now that it's my turn she literally told me not to throw my big clothes away because I might gain it back, leaving me feeling like I shouldn't get excited...

    "BFF" Went MIA...Jealousy?

Honey for lack of a better excuse she use to be the pretty one and now you have lost weight and men find you attractive. Now she feels as though she is the ugly duckling.. If you truly value her friendship address her feelings of being the ugly duckling don't ignore it
  10. I went for my consultation appointment on August 7,2015 Had my endoscopy, psyche eval and nutrition appointment as well as the required 6 months diet all done and turned in by sept 8th,2015... I'm so anxious to know if I'm approved or not... How long did it take all of you to get approved for surgery
