I've been banded 5 years. I got to my goal of 150 and had some issues. My band was emptied. I'm now at 180. I left my previous doctor and have switched to Dr Reilly in Houston. I have an appt for a fill today at True Results. I'm excited and a bit nervous. Any of you use true results?

I've been banded 5 years. Got to goal, got too tight, then had band emptied. I am slowly refilling it. It does good until it hits 6 cc's. At that point fills are hell. I had a fill Tuesday that brought me to 6.4 cc's. As I expected, my band is pretty irritated. This always happens for me. Post fill it can take 8 to 10 days before I can eat solid foods again. It's not that there is too much Fluid in the band, it's just that my band/stomach swells up from the actual fill. Does this happen to any of you?

I didn't get much down yesterday or today. Barely any liquids. I just left the ER. They took out the whole 1 cc I had put in Tuesday. I feel so much better! I drank 16 oz of water within 10 minutes of the unfill. I was so thirsty! -

Once I hit 6 even 1/10th of a CC causes the same issue:( This time they went with 1 full cc because they want to find my green zone pretty quickly. -

Marriage counseling can help you! As for your stomach, you may want to see a GI doctor. While our surgeons know a lot about the band a GI doctor knows more about the GI tract itself. I still see a GI doctor for my IBS. Oh and ((hugs))
