Food related regrets...
It's Time replied to Nurse_Lenora's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Fried chicken [emoji55], I tried to eat a chicken wing, the flat piece and my body said this is a no go. I felt like something was literally sitting on my chest and in my throat, Iwanted to puke. I guess we live and we learn - trial and error, and this definitely was an error -

Yayyyyy lets do a water/ liquid challenge - starting Sunday. My goal is 64oz, everyone just state what the minimum is they want to consume and check in daily saying yay or nay for meeting goal and any challenges that may have hindered you from doing so [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] we can do it for at least 2 weeks and go from there Lauriessp- count me in for a meet up, I'm always open for a get away or something You guys rock [emoji51] -

Yayyyyyy I'm so glad that everyone is doing well and progressing It seems like exercise and water is something we all need to work on, maybe we can do a 2/9er water or exercise challenge for a week or something- curious about everyone's food intake and menu? I still can't get in more than 2 oz of a solid meat and my appetite is so fickle but I find that if I don't get in at least 7" grams of protein I won't lose any weight, so I try to ensure that my breakfast has at least 30 g of protein so it's easier to get to 70 by day's end -

Congrats on getting close to your goal, that is awesome - make sure you listen to your body with the weight loss and don't allow anyone to make you feel like you shouldn't continue your journey My exercise regimen really needs to be kicked into double time. I am not close to goal yet and the weight is coming off really slow in my opinion but I will take a slow loss over no loss Keep up the good work [emoji16] -

Exercise is a hard one for many of us [emoji22] but for me it's necessary if I want to drop these pounds - I'm not a sweet wine drinker but I can see how the water would still leave a good taste as it cuts down on the sweetness. I had a vitamin D deficiency as well and took prescription D up until recently, sometimes our bodies do as they please. How's everyone doing -

Congrats slimtrimshel - I am so glad to hear the weight is coming off and the clothes are being exchanged for smaller sizes Woohooo. I can tell the difference in my clothes too, I actually purchased a couple pair of pants and tops and what was funny was looking at them and saying these won't fit and they do. I totally get the Jean thing too, but jeans are a different beast and seem to take the longest to go down a size. I wish my weight all comes off my abdomen and thighs lol but I'm sure it will do what it wants [emoji22] It's ok that you ate pizza, you have to live and if you totally restrict yourself it makes it hard to succeed because this feels like a diet and not a lifestyle change. I've learned that my tummy is ok with wine lol I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing [emoji15] I haven't had any at home but was at a business dinner and had part of a glass. I have also learned that I hate business dinners grrrr, I know people pay less attention to our food intake than we think but still it annoys me. How is everyone's exercise regimen, I've been so busy that mine is not where I want it but I am so getting on it hard this weekend because I'm sure it will melt the pounds away faster [emoji16] -

About 37 down since surgery 55 since pre-op My weight seems to be coming off pretty slow but at least the scale is moving again Positive - I think mixed feelings are normal, your life has taken a drastic change and it's a lot to take in. Don't let your family thoughts alter your journey and toning will happen Listen to your body about your goal weight, I think when you get to where you should be you will know I'm still having food issues as well, I just listen to my tummy- sometimes she's kind other times she's an evil you know what [emoji16] but again this is all new, so be patient I can't help you with the butt thing lol, I was beyond blessed in that department but I'm willing to share lol or you can always get butt pads [emoji848] -

Positive it happens, I agree with MxKitty you acknowledged it don't beat you're self up. I wasn't the best at food choices this weekend as I traveled as well but I was unsuccessful in my alcohol attempt as it did not sit well with me, trial and error Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend -

Hi there MxKitty glad to see that everything is going well, congrats on the misses Large [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] I've been shopping my closet as well and it's not fun, I love dropping weight but I hate not fitting my wonderful clothes properly ( I am a fashion person and have a great wardrobe ) but I will take a new smaller wardrobe [emoji16] I haven't tried tuna again, first time I tried it I thought I was about to be with the Lord, it got stuck and that was an awful feeling. What part of the world are you located in? -

Jennaggie welcome, I'm glad that you decided to chime in Everyone's journey is different so don't get discouraged. I have read about people who can tolerate more early on but from what I remember the key is to still stop at a max of 4 oz a meal If you don't mind me asking when did you get sleeved and what are you eating? Initially our weight losses were higher because we weren't eating anything but now it's said to come off a little slower. I've been in a stall for 10 days and I don't eat bad carbs at all, so stalls will happen (although we hate them) Don't get discouraged the weight will come off, you may want to implement some type of workout regimen to trick your body -

ElChris confess away - this is new for all of us, so I love seeing what one of us has tried and the outcome that way I know if I should try it or run [emoji16] Welcome Lauriessp we are happy to have you - congrats on the weight loss, you will be in onderland before you know it - yayyyy for 10,000 steps, you can do it - I haven't tried apples or fruit as of yet [emoji57] So I found out last night that my tummy does not appreciate ground beef, talk about stuck feeling and reflux - I won't be trying that again for a bit, sighhhhh -

No rush ElChris was curious, I think it's awesome that you don't stress over the scale. I'm sure being in Vegas was hard, but you made it, how did your body handle the drinks? I'm so afraid of alcohol right now but would love a glass of red wine [emoji57] -

ElChris - welcome back, I thought you had abandoned us [emoji16] I think we are our worst critic and it takes a miracle for us to see what others see when it comes to weight loss, any particular reason why no scale in a few weeks? I think I would die lol, I am an everyday weigher, I tried once a week and it stresses me out big time Lauriessp - yes let's sign up for cross fit, maybe our bodies are to accustomed to whatever we have been doing so it is refusing to make scale movement Positive - I hope so, ok I know it will move, it's just discouraging and annoying when it doesn't - how many calories are you getting in a day? SuzzyQ- I get in a minimum of 60 grams of protein and average about 600 calories a day -

Yayyyy Positive - my scale hasn't moved in 10 days [emoji22] I had my follow up appointment today and they were really happy with my progress, despite no recent scale movement. I have been released for coffee and full except use Woohooo what exercise routine is everyone doing? Im ready for some extreme excessive and want to do cross fit -

Yayyyy for will power - I agree food is not very exciting these days. Not only do I have no desire to eat, I think I'm food bored - it's so funny the things I come up with to eat that seem different and yummy but actually aren't - the other day I was craving hot wings and blue cheese, so I took a can of chicken and mixed it with Frank's hot sauce and blue cheese [emoji15] maybe I'm losing it mentally because I thought it was delicious, then I asked my spouse to taste it and the response was ewww lol. One thing I have tried is mixing or changing my food options each week. This week I'm going to ground some beef and make imaginary tacos, hopefully that will be sufficient to my tummy. What's a day of food been for you guys? I did protein latte for breakfast and then a boiled egg a few hours later, then an oz or 2 of cheese and since I hated food last week I would end my day with a shake. I know it's possible to get my protein in without shakes because I have done it, so hopefully she my sleeve will cooperate this week because I'm so tired of wasting food[emoji849] and hopeful the scale will move this week because it would not budge last week, which is so frustrating Happy Easter to those of you that celebrate Easter and Happy Sunday to those that do not [emoji16] -
I'm in, thank you

Down 29.2 since surgery and 48.4 since pre-op. I'm actually having a slow loss right now I'm down 2.6 pounds total in the last 9 days grrrrr but I'm having a hard time with food right now. I have no desire whatsoever to eat and although I'm forcing myself to eat it's not enough and I think it's causing a slow loss [emoji22] On a positive note I'm fitting in clothes that I haven't fit in for a long time so Woohooo there. Positive - congrats on the weight loss and thanks for the 6 week questions and answers -

Kalea_04 - does your doctor not allow tuna or softer fish like tilapia and canned chicken? I'm on soft foods currently, which is basically anything you can break with a fork. On this stage I've made the ricotta bake, Sometimes I eat an egg for breakfast (if scrambled I add an oz of cheese), I also have made protein pudding, I've eaten boiled shrimp, baby bell cheese etc. if I think of anything else, I will let you know -
