  1. @@toasty Thank you for the feed back, nothing has come back up for me yet, but I think I will stay at 2/3 cup for a while before i move on to more. I have a protein shake for breakfast too which I have always done. I seem to do better with 1 snack a day in the afternoon of a low fat mozzarella string cheese.
  2. I was eating 1/2 cup of food per-meal from 2 weeks to 6 weeks post RNY Surgery. I'm now eating at 7 1/2 weeks post surgery, 2/3 cup at a time. My nut. wants me to be eating 1 cup of food per meal by my 3 month appt. Does this sound right? I thought I wouldn't be at that point not until about 6 months. Curious as to what other's eating amounts is during a meal.
  3. @@miiasan I miss my salads!! I can have it at 3 months. Gosh that must be hard having more than 3 meals a day having to wait 30min before & after, but it must be the only way to eat more right now. Everyone is different. I had the RNY.
  4. @@goblue9280 Thank you, your diet sounds just like mine except that I'm eating 2/3 c. I think thats what I will stick with for awhile since it seems to be working! I appreciate the feed back!

I asked this question on another thread but thought I would ask you all how much you eat at a time each meal? I'm at 7.5 weeks. From 2 weeks to 6 weeks my Nut. wanted me eating 1/2 cup of food 3x a day. No problem for me. When I went back at 6 weeks she said to increase to 2/3 cup which I'm doing now & to increase to 1 cup by 3 months my next appt. That seems like a lot so soon. I'm having no problems with the 2/3 cup of soft foods but I don't think I could eat 2/3 c of meat. Most everything else that I see other's not eating near as much. Curious as to how much you all are eating & what your Nut. says how much you should & will be eating.
  6. @@miiasan I think you may be in the majority, I don't know why for me so much. I only eat 3x a day with 1 snack of a low fat mozzarella string cheese. I get 60 to 70g of protein in with added premiere protein or unflavored protein every day along with 64oz water. I'm satisfied so I think I will stay right here at 2/3 cup until 3 months then see what they think.
  7. @@Threetimesacharm I think I could probably eat more but i just stop at that amount. This kinda scares me because it seems like everyone has such a hard time with their amounts & I haven't struggled with anything. Meat is the only thing that I can only eat so much of 1/2 c, although I haven't tried beyond 2/3 cup on soft foods.

    skin problems

I'm having the same issue!! I thought I was getting a spider bite or something? I have a bout 4 small looking bites on my belly that itch & slightly hurt! Everything is going well 7 1/2 weeks out from surgery, strange!
  10. @@tbella67 I was the same as you when I first went to see my Doctor, I was going in for the Sleeve. They said I was a good candidate for the RNY Bypass. Scared me, it sounded so invasive!!! So I did my research, talk to people who had had all three from the band to the RNY bypass. After all my research & talking over with the Dr. who has done over 4000 Bypass surgery's I decided to do what he suggested was right for me, the RNY bypass. I had it done Oct.8th this year & have been very happy with the results & wasn't near as painful as I thought it could be. Much easier. If you have acid reflux they say the RNY bypass is a better choice. I have a friend who had the RNY Bypass, at the same time his 2 younger brother's had the sleeve. After they all reached their goal, his brother's who had the sleeve began regaining most of their weight. My Dr. said, what he has seen now after the sleeve has been out for awhile, that some people were regaining their weight more often than the RNY Bypass. I didn't want to go through the process again. Don't let this discourage you what ever you choose. Many people have been successful with the sleeve, as well as the band. I know the RNY bypass is working for me so far. I have lost 21 lbs in 7 weeks since surgery. I don't even feel like I have had surgery except no hunger & I get full quickly. Best of luck to you what ever you choose!!!

I have to make myself go walk but while I'm walking it gives me a new perspective on things & I seem to do my best thinking. Hoping your able to get your protein in today! Best of luck!!

@@395Ron I have only had ham from a thick ham slice that I chopped up pretty good for split pea soup. I had no trouble with it. Oh yes, I had a slice of deli ham thin slice of virginia ham wrapped around a lowfat mozzerella string cheese stick. While I ate it slowly, I had no problem with it either. But mind you I haven't had much problems with anything other than grilled chicken & pork which I just get full fast on. Try just very little bites & chew chew chew & wait for the next bite to see if it goes down ok. I find the longer I wait between bites the better I do. very hard for me, I always eat too fast!
