October List of Surgery's

@@whoahbabyy can you drink the premiere protein vanilla shakes? It taste so good 1/2 & 1/2 with coffee. It gives me 2 cups to enjoy in the morning without going over my 1 cup limit, & maybe coffee isn't so bad diluted with protein shake!! . They only told me caffeine is dehydrating, but since I drink all my water I figure its ok. I think you should still enjoy your tradition on Christmas morning its not that far off from Jan 14, just make sure you drink plenty of water! -

@@whoahbabyy Congratulations!! Good work! I don't want sweets either! thats a good things. I know I'm not suppose to drink coffee but I just started drinking a 1/2 cup every morning with the rest filled up with my vanilla protein shake for breakfast! Big coffee drinker so I have vowed to never go over 1 cup total forever. I know I know I can't be perfect & its cold out side!!! I can't wait to get under the 200 mark either. I weigh tomorrow so I will see where I'm at!! -

How much do you eat at a meal at 2 months, 3 months
60&goin4it replied to 60&goin4it's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Wow 1/2 cup forever! well it adds up over a day to about the same when you figure a cup at 3 meals. It sounds like a good plan & makes sense, so even when your hunger returns you will feel up fast!!! I think I better stay at 2/3 cup since I'm already there, & maybe add a meal after I talk with my nut on Jan. 8. That will be at 3 months. I've been adding benefiber to my water everyday & that is helping me. Thanks for the input you are doing awesome!!! -

@@LoseItKacy Sounds like a good plan & what a lot of people are on except the 1/4 of cup after 2 months seems limited but our plans are all different. I think mine allowing me a cup at 3 months is way too much!! I'm staying at 2/3 cup for at least 6 months 3x a day. If my blood work shows different I will change. Oh I do have 1 snack a day of lowfat string cheese 50 cal. & 7 grams of protein after I walk. I'm also staying away from carbs & all sugar. -

@@kvoneye You are doing great with your weight loss! I'm down 22 but with a week longer having surgery! Looks like we are loosing very similar! I'm just taking it day by day! I do well with my protein, always rely on my protein shake if I haven't ate much. The water is harder for me, I get busy & forget. Have to take benefiber every day to keep things moving. I'm staying completely away from all sugars, don't even want to start on that again. I walk when I can more days than not. Hope you meet your goal, if not I'm sure you will have loss as much as you have already & plus some!!! Best of luck to you, I'm right with ya!! -

@@Mogwaicat Your plan of trying new things later in the day is a good idea!! I have noticed that if I don't get my protein for the day or water, I feel it the next day every time. I'm tired & achy! Its so hard especially the water, I get busy & before I know it I'm behind on my amounts! Its so easy to forget!!!! I think I will tie my water bottle around my neck to remember!! -
Confused on which surgery to look into

@@Bigguy9347 Good to hear you are doing well!! My husband & I live in Eagle Rock Mo. on Table Rock Lake. The weight loss thing can be discouraging. I lost 5 lbs by week 2 after surgery. I was so bloated after the hospital. I'm 2 months out & have lost 22lbs. I only weigh 1x a week (the day of my surgery) to not get discouraged. I was able to start walking at 3 weeks for 30min a day & I'am now up to 45min. 6x a week. Just keep doing what they want you to do, it will start coming off. I believe the slower the better anyway. I usually post in the Oct. list of surgery's in pre op with other's who had surgery around mine. lots of good info there!!! -

@@whoahbabyy It sounds like the normal 3 week stall everyone talks about on here! I doubt if the 2 bites of things on Thanksgiving caused it. I think your lack of fluids & protein is probably more of the reason, your body wants to slow down it thinks its starving. Your doing great, & the walking is the best thing!!! Don't let the holidays get you down! Maybe walk a little more the day before & after! -

@@395Ron I hope everything goes well with the Neurologist!! After reading the amounts everyone else is eating I'm going to hold my intake at 2/3 cup & not do more until I talk with my Nut. at my 3 month appt. As long as I get 60g of protein or more in, I think I will be fine. I will then see too if drinking my powerade every other day brings the b12 down. -

@@SleeveandRNYchica I can't have salad until 3 months, all the Dr.'s are different, I'm jealous, miss my salads! I'm at 8 weeks now, & still have a lot of the chewables left but once they are gone, I don't plan on staying on them. They are an extra 30 calories a day. I noticed a lot of us aren't on here as much, I think everyone is doing better & not as scared as before surgery, soaking up all the info we could!!! Plus just busy going back to work & holidays! Hopefully we will all check in periodically to see how we are doing. I got my blood work back & it was very good except I had a little too high of B12 ! Go figure! Never expected to be too high in something. I think I figured out why, I drink a powerade zero 32 oz every day & it has B12 in it so with the multi 2 x & it I'm getting too much. So I will cut back to every other day of the powerade zero & see what my next blood work says. I'm getting 45 min. of walking 6 days a week. The weight loss has slowed down but is still moving. -
