Vicki, Im sorry to hear about your daughter. That must be very hard especially since she is not right around the corner. Im still up since the unfill also. My appointment is on the 8th and Im up three lbs since they took away the fluid. Good luck to you, I hope you can make your appointment maybe a little more fill will do the trick. Rain -

Eileen, I agree I think that eating and being overweight is a self esteem issue. Its also a vicious cylce that leads to more eating and lower self esteem. Thats why I like to think that my stomach wasnt broken but my brain is whats broken. Fixed the stomach but still working on the brain. -

Hi Eileen, I knew you could do it. If you dont want to quote someone just scroll down to the last post and underneath it on the left it says Post reply. Just press that. P.S. if anyone wants a weight loss ticker, just click on my ticker or anyone elses. When you get to that page theres a line that says creat your own ticker. Just go from there. Hope that helps Rain -

Eating too fast or eating too much?
RAINWI replied to Jill10191130's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Jill, That sounds exactly like me. I had a fill on May 13th and it was pretty tight after about a week I thought it was getting better but if I didnt take the smallest bites and chew I got stuck. After 3 weeks like that I couldnt stand it anymore and I got 1cc taken out. Im now a 5cc and still have decent restriction. I didnt want to jepordize my band by pb all the time and risk slippage so I called the dr. It seemed to me that it wasnt worth it to get stuck at every meal even though I was losing decent weight. Good luck to you and I hope you figure it out. -

But on a more serious note Vicki, I do understand its kinda like being freed from food jail. You couldnt eat it before b/c of the band but now you can eat it again and you missed it. Unfortunatly the band did not fix the food issues in our heads. My only advice is to think we dont want to be where we were in the first place so go on S.B. until Dr H can fill you. Its only food and we can live with out it. Good luck I lost one of the lbs I gained and know in my head that getting to 199 is more important than eating ( or so I try to tell myself) Rain -

You know sometimes this band is a pain in the butt. Its so hard to get it just right. I guess if any newbies are reading this its a lesson that its not a miracle and it takes some hard work and patience. -

Shar, yeah I lost 5lbs sine May13th but it wasnt worth it. It sucks to be stuck after two small bites of food. Not everything got stuck but the majority of stuff did. I spent more time in the restroom at a restaurant than at the table. I will let you know if I have any restriction from this unfill. I sure hope I do. I only wanted Laurie to take out .5 but she took out the whole 1 cc. -

Vicki, Yikes. Too bad they didnt help you sooner like they should have. Like Shar said maybe you should have been seen sooner. I know it would be really hard for me to eat healthy but just think you need to heal your band so you can get back on track. Good luck and keep us posted. -
