Probably not walking as much as I should. I walk back and forth to the restroom and around the house and also I take at least 1 walk around the neighborhood at night. Seeing as though I live in the desert and we are pushing 110° a day here...I try not to go out in the heat too often right now. Today, I'm going to stop the narcotic pain meds and try just the Tylenol before bed...maybe that will help. Awesome!

I haven't tried ice chips yet, I should probably give it a try. I'm doing okay with broth, but theres only so much I can take of the taste xD, as for the yogurt and oatmeal is that during the liquid stage or the Puree stage? but yeah we just need to hang in there, We will reach our goals! According to my lil plan, yogurt and cream of wheat is something I can start now...but there's no way. If I can't even do the Protein drinks, how the heck can I do yogurt and cream of wheat ???? ... ice chips help me get fluids in. let me know how u do. -

Question for the ladies

Day AFTER surgery I woke up to my period! It was awful. I already could hardly move because IV and drain tube but now I had to deal with changing pads and trying to keep clean. It was horrible. Surgery was 9/2...went home 9/4...and just yesterday finally stopped. It was a heavy one too! Sorry if that was TMI...???? -

I'm in the same boat!! I can't get up and down from our bed. Laying flat is excruciating when I try to get up. I can't lay on my sides. What I found helped was putting a couple pillows down on a recliner and sitting on those and reclining back. I'm not on a normal sleep schedule either. I'm up 4-5 hours then sleep for about 2. Ice chips have been the easiest for me. Premier protein is way too thick. Isopure has to be diluted and room temp. Chicken broth feels good on my belly....and that's it! I see so many people eating yogurt cream of wheat oatmeal etc and I don't know how the heck they can do it! I'm only getting in maybe 40 oz of liquid...sometimes not even that much. Not nearly enough protein but what else can we do?! I just pray this gets easier and things start going down easier. I tried pudding and I felt like it got stuck in my chest. Just so much pressure...ugh. Feel free to send me messages anytime! we can get through this! -

Hi there! My surgery was just 9/2. I was very persistent before surgery and wanted to make sure I had my cabinets full of what I needed, but the day I got home from surgery...my taste buds completely changed. It's also SO HARD to take protein in right now and the easiest way is through room temp isopure. Don't spend too much money on all sorts of protein until maybe a couple weeks after surgery. To me, protein shakes are too thick! I still can't drink them comfortably. Best of luck!! -

Mine was also 9/2!! I was release from hospital Friday. Lots of pressure in my belly. Sometimes, even in my chest. There is no way I can get 64 Oz of water and 60 oz of protein in right now. I can barely get 40 oz of liquid down. All I've had is chicken broth, water, powerade zero. The protein shakes are too thick. I tried a sugar free pudding with some protein mixed in and nope. Sleeve doesn't want that either. Ice chips are great! Still sleeping in a recliner for the little bit of sleep I can get. Not going exactly how I want it to but I haven't thrown up yet!! So that's a non scale victory! lol Sometimes I get this weird gurgle...then my throat gurgles and I think I may get sick but nothing happens. I am praying for a nice big BURP!!! I can feel it. I need to release some air but just can't ???? My name is Vanessa btw. Starting weight June 5 was 410. Weight on surgery day was 367. Today I'm 355. I'd love to be sleeve buddies!! -
Any 450-500 lb 2015 sleeves out there?

My name is Vanessa! Starting weight June 5 was 410! Date of Surgery 9/2/15 at 367 and current weight 358!! Today is the first day since surgery that I actually feel like I'm getting better! I've been so sore...so much chest pressure (I'm assuming gas) and so sleepy! I feel great today though! Good luck!!! ❤ -

Hey there! My surgery was also 9/2/15. I also had sleeve and hiatal hernia. (gallbladder was removed a couple years ago) ...I know exactly what pain/pressure ur talking about girl! I get the same thing. Then like a gurgle noise and then it settles. Right now, I'm dealing with alot of chest pressure and when I take deep breaths...it hurts! I think it has to do with anesthesia they used and air they blew us up with! I bought premier protein and haven't been able to drink those yet. They feel too heavy for me. All I've drank/ate is water, ice chips, isopure, jello and propel. Hopefully tomorrow I can up it a notch and have some cream of wheat! I think ur problem has to do with ur new Itty bitty sleeve and the little space we have now. Hopefully things start normalizing soon! -
Try rubbing them through ur shirt! No oils or ointments. Itching is a sign of healing. Best of luck and congratulations! ????
