S Suther I'll trade you meal planning mojo for exercise mojo[emoji23] I can't plan at all but I've started packing my snacks for our bible study n fellowship meetings I'm even going to make smoothies at next fellowship which is a switch I finally purchased my plant based protein for smoothies Positive for today One day at a time. Going on this 10 day smoothie 2x a day Here goes hope this bust plateau

Hey All I've been having a busy week out of my regular snacks the healthy ones been eating chips my biggest fight I ❤️ lays potato chips but going shopping tomorrow for night time meals starting the green smoothies on Monday have to get plant based protein for the shakes Positive for today I'm exercising 3x weekly biking 4 miles on stationary bike that's an increase for me I ride for 30 min then do weights for 30 min

The smoothies are 2x daily one healthy meal I haven't decided if my meal will be dinner or lunch plus your liquids water green/detox tea swapping my morning coffee for green tea Positive thought Taking my Greek yogurt tonight for bible study no junk food tonite trying to plan ahead thanks s Suther for that idea

Great job S Suther n bacon I'm doing ok my toughest day was last Friday night after church there was a fellowship with cake n pies I didn't eat any came home and had a bowl of strawberries instead probably ate to many but a least I ate clean[emoji57] My positive for today concentrate on one meal at a time I've been reading about the Green Smoothies think I'm going to try 10 days see if I can bust this plateau Have good week everyone

Hi everyone I had a so so week went to WLS dr didn't lose any weight but didn't gain either I met with trainer on Monday and worked out it went well I'm motivated to exercise I'm still trying to balance the carbs n protein I have to cook more I've always been a snacker My positive this week is not to get discouraged look at how far I've come and the life changes I've made I'm 80lbs down I'm going to take a before picture now and a after picture in August my birthday Pearlin

I've been struggling with portion control food prepping this morning meeting with trainer at gym to help with exercise when I reach those plateaus started adding weights to exercise we'll see how this goes have a good week all

Hey everybody did well thanksgiving the family loved the sweet potato pecan dish I went to see dietitian on Tuesday trying to get back on track going to start writing down what I eat I really hate that but I have to and I found a gym I can afford my other change is buying some protein items off the bariatric web meeting with dietitian monthly we discovered I was not eating enough protein hopefully these changes will cause the scale to move down Watch out this season Lets not gain we come to far in this journey Lets stay on track looking forward to hear from everyone

Hey veterans how's everyone doing Its Thanksgiving time for the first time I'm making bariatric friendly meal sweet potato /pecan casserole , sausage stuffing and maybe an appetizer I saw the recipes in bariatric news letter Come on let's post ideas

The bariatric store has a variety of options and read the newsletter it has great articles I'm 60 yrs old and I'm happy about my surgery join the support groups in your area the dietitian helped me plan meals be open to try new substitutes

Hey how's everyone doing I haven't seen any posts HELP Halloween is on the rise I've decided not to buy any candy to give out this year I'm leaving the house during the hours of trick treating in our community If I buy candy I will eat some too much temptation around the house I'm doing better with my portions and losing I will post breakfast in morning switched from the instant packets of oatmeal to cooking steal cut oats trying to get away from processed oats hope this makes a difference

When constipation happens try fiber nuts worked well for me they're small pistachio almonds cashews sunflower /pumpkin seeds toss a few in salad or eat as snack

Have significantly less pain I can move around better with my youngest grandchildren and overall happier So keep on your journey don't get discouraged especially when you hit a plateau stick with dietitian and keep exercising things will start to move again

Hello I'm from NJ the decision I made to have surgery is the best thing I have ever done I'm 60 yrs old and my son n daughter were very afraid because they kept saying mom you could die Well I told them I could die from health problems because of my weight They stayed close to me first few weeks I received a lot of support from my coworkers and at the gym the Drs office recommended which is affiliated with the hospital where I had surgery I've been taken off 1 of my blood pressure medications my knees and hip

I've only been natural for 2yrs and sleeved for almost 2yrs I've not experienced any hair loss and I change my hairstyle frequently weaves twists

Hi 2babutterfly I'm with you I've had a rough summer eating junk food not excising but I'm going back to gym my routine was getting boring so I thought I'd change up and walk guess what didn't walk much so back to gym I must go I have a challenge idea let's post food preps with pictures Let's get back in the game I miss this group it kept me on track!!

I'm 18 months post op and I can't do hot sauce but I can and do cook with crush red pepper and haven't had a problem I haven't figured it out yet but I'll take it

I'm 18 months post op and can eat a little spicy food occasionally if I do to much I have terrible heart burn or get gassy

Yes being tired for a while is normal because you are not eating much and body needs to adjust but be cheerful it will get better drink your water and take your vitamins this is very important

I don't know what has happened with me not being able to post but I'm glad I can today I really missed checking in I'm doing well still working on planning meals and packing them ahead I have been losing but went on binge eating last month and wasn't exercising much in summer I'll start back in gym Monday How's everyone doing check in time holidays are coming up fast[emoji18][emoji18]

I think everyone is nervous after they get approval and as the actual day gets near it's a big lifestyle change but so worth the journey

Well I'm down 7lbs this month had to quit gym for minute but getting my walking in have 2 big events this month my 60th birthday and big church event definitely have to do some planning
